Tom Brokaw, historian

Following Clinton's convention address, Brokaw on why it's tricky for the Dem to attack the GOP candidate: "When John McCain was sitting in a prison in Hanoi, Bill Clinton was writing letters to his ROTC commander trying to get out of the draft!"

      By all means Tom, lets look into what our leaders and public voices were doing during Vietnam. Not sure why only Bill actions are worthy of note and not say "5 defferments" Chenny, "I don't know where the hell I was", Shrub. Anal cist Christy (Rush), and whoever claimed he couldn't get in due to all the minorities enlisting.

      We call them chickenhawks. Are you a chickenhawk Mr. Brokaw?

      You can see it seething under Brokaw's skin every time he's on the air.  This is why Meet The Press has become unwatchable since he took over.

      You could have fooled me — I could have sworn that Obama was the candidate, not Bill Clinton...
