Any discussion of who is the more responsible "journalist," Andrew Sullivan or Michelle Malkin, unavoidably demeans journalism in a week when it's already taken more than its share of hits. No doubt that Palin's pregnancy is far more mysterious than Obama's birth certificate, but the worst that can be said of her is that she was trying to protect a young daughter, and herself, from an embarrassment brought on by her highly questionable sexual/moral theories. Okay, that's pretty bad, and another example, if it were needed, of Palin's playing fast and loose with the truth to suit the moment (stay tuned for updates as they occur -- to her), but it masks the real issue: she, or someone, named this poor baby Trig? What does that mean? Is it short for something? She named her baby Trigonometry? She named her baby for the mathematical tool that best explains her route to the birthing station? Call Sullivan!
