Rush Limbaugh's Republican Party

January 28, 2009 3:38 pm ET by Jamison Foser

Earlier, I wrote that nobody needs to "elevate" Rush Limbaugh to a position of leadership in the conservative movement -- he's enjoyed such a position for two decades.

Here's another example: Georgia Republican Congressman Phil Gingrey was critical of Limbaugh yesterday -- and today Gingrey called Rush to beg forgiveness.

IF THIS WERE STILL THE PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN, and we were still discussing matters in the idiotic terminology of campaigns, then we would refer here to a "card" of some sort being played... you know, like "the race card" or even "the gender card" (which is a card that is supposed to trump the Queen)...

I think Republicans have looked at their awful (stained and guilty) hands, and counted how few cards they hold, and have decided that the only real fall-back power they have and hold in their hands, is:

      THE MEDIA CARD

This is the card of Influence and Persuasion and Manipulation: it is played in words and voice, and not necessarily in turn: it is played not so much as Trump, but as Trumpet: say it (play it) LOUD, and repeatedly...

      THE MEDIA CARD

And two important things here: they must be sure to put all those cards (and all the words) into the voice and the big mouth of some guy who does not hold elective Office, nor any other Official title with the Republican Party (and therefore suffers less consequence, and drags down fewer if any Officials consequentially)...

And they must use the Public Airwaves in so doing: because that's also one of the few powers left the Republican Party...

They still claim and stake out a private and personal ownership of, our Public Property, the Public Resource of the PUBLIC AIRWAVES.

...because seeing all this rush limbaugh noise, not just two days in a row but it looks like many, is to see (I guess) a trend.

So this is what Republicans have, and what they want to build a new (and perhaps permanent) base on: rush limbaugh?

It's weak and it's desperate: it's not the last act of a desperate political party, it's just the playing of a few cards, from a hand that holds not too many...

But they do have power, financially and internationally: Great Power.

The fat clown limbaugh is the least of President Obama's (and our) challenges... we have a lot of work to do: we should be so lucky, that our work involved only sparring with a clown so fat, that never mind ten of him emerging from a little car at the Circus: can even one rush limbaugh fit into a Greyhound Bus?

Suspect distraction and diversion in all of this also.

The fat bastid is more a clown than a Policymaker (notice how little Policy the Republicans Officially needed him for, in their years of political power)...

NO, he is more the fat clown who distracts you, than anything else... CLOWNS ARE DISTRACTIONS.

Our work is serious, and we have plenty of it: let's let the JV spar with rush... let's keep our eye on death and destruction, as an Official top priority... hey, have we got all of the resective heads of the various and Official sections of our Intelligence Community (an Official term, Intelligence Community), have we got all the former Bush Officers on Record, with SIGNED OPINIONS as to the present safety and security of the American People domestically, against anything you might call a "terror attack"?

        That's important.

Get those rat bastid Bush appointee stooges' signatures on record, signed to full and comprehensive Opinions (this is Constitutional) as to the state of Security they leave behind...

And in the breach between their watch and ours, we lock down the border (truly) and you appraise any and all ongoing surveillance and investigations: all open files come under immediate review.

It's not a joke, it's that serious... that's how they play... that's how they plan to get back in the game you know: not by clowning around, but by far more tragic means.

Because as much as rush limbaugh is a good friend (and political business partner) to all those who gain from murdering Americans (most notably to those who gained from murdering 3,000 of us on September 11 2001), there still are even worse "good friends" and business partners of those who plot (as Republicans do) against us, and who plot and work for our President's failure (as rush limbaugh has proclaimed he does), and scheme and work the deaths of us who may used in that manner...

Serious stuff: more serious than any clown could ever pretend to be.
