What Honeymoon?

March 20, 2009 10:25 am ET by Karl Frisch

Have you noticed how the press has been trumpeting the end of President Obama's "honeymoon" nearly every day since he took office?  Talk about a prolonged annulment.  I'm not even sure they ever made it to the chapel as this great new video illustrates. If the last two months are the media's idea of a honeymoon, all I have to say is good riddance.

Nice work! And all along more than 60% of Americans approve. Imagine.

Well, in fairness they did wait until the end of the swearing in ceremony to say he wasn't really president.

Interesting how MMFA presents a clip of Juan Williams saying "her instincts" to suggest he is commenting about Obama. Also a clip of O'Reilly making a joke about Franken. And as usual there is no context to any of the segments. But of course that is what they do so well here.

Hi FL! Good to see you back again.

Here is the clip of Juan Williams slamming Michelle Obama for your pleasure and I await your mea culpa: http://mediamatters.org/items/200901270002

FYI, after this appearance on O'Reilly's hate show, NPR asked Williams & FNC to stop referring to him as an NPR commentator.

Hey MK, I hope all is well. But I see no reason for a mea culpa, but if I am wrong and Michelle is our president, then I will certainly offer it.  But how about the Franken thing? they both can't be president. And Williams is still proudly listed as a contributer at the NPR website. It would seem that what NPR objects to is a liberal with an open mind.

Neither 'liberal' nor 'open minded' would accurately describe Juan Williams.

It's a greatest hits album. If you want the context use the search box.

I can picture him at a Wendy's drive-thru, barking "where's the context?!" into the intercom.

"there is no context to any of the segments. But of course that is what they do so well here."

Actually, this compilation is the complete opposite of what they do here. Their articles all have full context.

I know it's hard for a conservative to be only 90% wrong, rather than 100% wrong. But keep trying. Maybe you should try issuing a non-sequitur. Then you'll just be off in left field rather than the opposite end of the truth.

Your comment is a contradiction. Are you saying that MMFA did not do this piece. Still waiting to hear an explanation for the Franken section too.

Well I am still waiting for someone to explain how O'Reilly's joke about FRanken is a shot at Obama, at least MK kept it in the family.

You claim there is "no context to any of the segments" here, so why are you stuck on this one?
