Accepting Buckley award, Fox's Hume thanked Media Research Center "for the tremendous amount of material" they "provided me for so many years when I was anchoring Special Report"

Hume added of MRC: "I don’t know what we would have done without them"

From the Media Research Center's 2009 Gala, "[f]eaturing the DisHonors Awards and the William F. Buckley Award for Media Excellence":

HUME: I want to say a word, however, of thanks, to [Media Research Center president] Brent [Bozell] and to the team at the Media Research Center and all the contributors who make that work there possible. Not just for this wonderfully - this wonderfully fine award in the name of someone as I say I admire so much, but also for the tremendous amount of material that the Media Research Center provided me for so many years when I was anchoring Special Report. I don't know what we would have done without them. It was a daily, sort of a buffet of material to work from, and we - we -- we certainly made tremendous use of it.

So the long time poombah of FNC just admitted that he is lazy and biased and just picked stories & links from the conservative one-sided MRC?

      Nice!

Now anyone who goes on the FNC panels can look him straight in the eye and call him a self-admitted liar whenever he spouts off about FAIR & BALANCED.

I wonder what sources KO and Rachel use, do you think that they might have some of their own? EVERY journalist has sources of their own, that suit their purposes. Very unreasonable attitude on your part.

Journalists have numerous often competing sources. Pundits and Fox News anchors not so much.

Hi FL! I guess you selectively missed the part about Hume claiming Fox News is "fair & balanced" yet he gets his research from MRC ...

Using fact-based sources is one thing. Using a biased and dishonest site like MRC is another.

Claiming that FoxNews is fair and balanced, while using MRC as a major provider of stories, is scummy.

Well, he's just confirming that not only do they get the memo, they rely upon it.

The difference, bub, is that Fox uses sources that LIE.  Now tell me, is being lied to good for America?  Do you like being lied to?  Or are you too dense to even realize when you're being lied to?

The difference?  Brit Hume is supposed to be an anchorman, not a pundit
