I can hear the RadioNutz already screeching, "Obama is controlling the media another step down the road to a dictatorship."
When Hannity starts crying about this someone should post a picture of his kids next to a sexual abuse headline saying "My Father Abused Me", then we will see the type of man SissyBoy has evolved into concerning freedom of the press.
But thanks Washington Times, you made news twice.

I don't think so-- not even Hannity can explain why the Obama kids fit in that article.

could it be that Obama was a senator and community organizer from Chi town. I agree the picture wasn't necessary but I see the connection.

This thread is about the PICTURE. If they want to attack Obama for being a community organizer and a Senator from Illinois, fine. He was not in charge of Chicago so cut the backhanded nonsense.

Sure, and any stories about 9/11 could be accompanied by a picture of Woody Allen. The man is commonly associated with New York City, after all.

My education was dismal. I went to a series of schools for mentally disturbed teachers.

Woody Allen--lest one of the new crop of trolls accuses me of plagiarism.

I willing to bet Vannity can provide an "explanation" (i.e. apology).

The initial picture will no longer be an issue. The removal will become the "story." Let's wait and see.
I hope you are right. It will show a tiny sliver of hope...at least for today.

All they did was look for a file photo of a couple of school age children & they picked Obama's kids by chance.

Nah.... I don't believe that even now when I see it in print.

Of course that brings the question: What exactly were they doing attaching Obama's kids to a photo on youth violence? Were they looking to connect blacks to youth violence? Were they looking for a laugh?

Worse than a 'laugh'. More trivial crap that the Repub trash enjoy.

You know, the other awful thing about this? The text of "sets record" The language of that is troubling. It's doubtful that the intention was to compare youth violence to a sporting event. But still.

I don't believe that specifically linked to sports. There were months that "set records" for military deaths in Iraq as well, and that was fair to point out without anyone suggesting it made it sound like a sporting event.
