      I'd love to know more about how the MSNBC mentions break down by day part. MSNBC has multiple personalities: Rabid right in the morning, hard left in the evening, something in the middle mid day. Furthermore, since much of the coverage of the MSNBC prime-timers focuses on red baiting and fear mongering by other outlets, you have to ask whether they are monitoring the problem or part of the problem.

      Sure would help if these people understood what these 'isms' actually mean: isms, isms everywhere ...

        Your point is spot on. I would take it the further step of pointing out that not only is the right using these "isms" in an anti-intellectual, fear mongering and pejorative way, but their general unwillingness to accept any definitions that are commonly accepted precludes the possibility of the meaningful discussion necessary to reach the compromise positions that makes democratic governance possible in a country the size of ours.
