      Scary really.

These are the allaged "pro-lifers"? Laughable, highly and totally laughable. Nobody deserves to be killed for doing their job, no matter what you think of it. A good family man, and hard working doctor gets gunned down, and some cheer this? Sad, very very sad.

You only get 22% who say it's just flat out wrong. Then 22% who say it's s tragic end to a tragoc epic. What tragic epic you fools?

Non-Catholic "Pro-Lifers" are the most hypocritical people on earth. No arbortion, but wars, death penalty and vigilant lynch mobs are perfectly OK. ANd I say non-catholic, because at least the Catholoic Church is consistant: No Arbotions, NO Death Penalty, NO wars. I may not agree with (any) of those positions, but at least they're consistant. (As am I.) This "you can't be a christian and a democrat" is utter nonsense for this very reason. These people aren't pro-life at all. They're MURDERING THUGS. And the guy who killed this doctor should be executed. Period. Abortion is aboriton and is legal until the gov't says otherwise. MURDER IS MURDER, and should carry the death penalty. (Do they have the DP in Kansas? If killing an OB doesn't get you the DP, I don't know what does.)

      Not surprising, considering it's WND.

That's why I always refer to WND as "World Nut Daily". You have to be nuts to read that cybersewer and think that they post the truth. About anything.

So now these wingnuts think that they can override the US law and create their own ideas of what is legal and illegal. Dr. Tiller broke no laws but that didn't stop the murderer from "dispensing his justice". These people are dangerous!

Yes they are. The only 'good' they do is to drive reasonable people away from the republicans and away for the conservative hate-mongers. They aren't "pro-life" they're murdering scum. And yes, they are very dangerous.

Jerry Fallwell's getting the coals stared as we speak. Dobson, Robertson, Chick, Donohue and Phelps will be giving him an assist soon, god willing.

Actually, this poll tells us a lot about the readership of the WND.

Statistically speaking though, you're right. But it shines a light on WND readership, and WHO is actually reading that bunch of trash.

Abortion Groups Labeled as Right Wing Extremists by Department of Homeland Security.

"Right wing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups, and those that are mainly anti-government, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration."

given that there have been a number of abortion clinic bombings over the past two decades that have killed people, it could stand to reason that they garner the attention of homeland security.

Perhaps, but it seems to me that if the FBI, NSA, CIA, etc... had done their jobs, we wouldn't have (or even need) DHS. To me, this is just FBI stuff. Despicable as they are (and I think I've made my opinions of these scumbags quite clear) they're still double-A (minor league)compared to Al-Quaeda.

If this poll reflects reality in any way, it's scary.

If their God is so all-knowing and omni-potent, and God gave us free will, isn't it up to God and only God to judge and punish us? There's more than one flaw in the pro-life movement's logic...

There no logic in when it comes to religion. Period. Logic makes ALL religious points fall apart. The curch has NEVER been able to withstand the light of reason. That's why they have stood against it for centuries now.

"In a secular society, men of goodwill will continue to do good while evil men will continue to delight in shirking their civil responsibilities. But to make a GOOD man do EVIL things, first you've got to make him religious." ~(PP)Christopher Hitchens

Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord
        Romans 12:19.

for me this just makes those who kill abortion doctors and bomb clincs even worse than the doctors themselves. i mean if these people are claiming to be following God in what they are doing.....well they should leave them alone and when their time comes to face St. Peter, then they will have to answer for their own actions

They forget one of the most cardinal virtues of Christianity: HUMILITY. They take the lord's name in veign, and do him a profund betrayal and disservice, by doing what they have done here.

Why isn't the Media calling this man what he is, a terrorist? Does he have to strap a bomb on himself and blow himself up to get the correct label? When an act is designed to terrorize doctors so they do not perform a legal procedure then it is terrorism.
Stupid polls like this one are just that: stupid. And they help to gloss over the hideousness of this act and encourage other nutcases to go out and do more terrorism.
Isn't this akin to yelling "fire!" in a crowded movie theater?

At least WND had a wide range in the questions asked...

I especially like the question "The shooting suspect is a righteous hero for the unborn" and that 29 thought that that was a good answer...

Just goes to show that a few rotten apples can actually destroy an entire crop.

This brings to mind a recent Gallup that proclaimed "Most Americans oppose abortion!" only they didn't disclose that the majority of those polled (which was a whopping 100 people) were republicans.
Just goes to show that, this crummy, useless, self-serving poll aside, that even the so-called major polling outfits can skew the outcomes any way they please.

The same headline could read "56% of pro-lifers surveyed condemn murder of Tiller." Of course that wouldn't advance the narrative that MMFA is advocating, would it?

Why is it that pointing out 14% of these people are cheering on murder means that MMfA wants people to believe that all or most pro-lifers would advocate or ignore such a murder? I think the clear point is that even 14% is much too high for that sort of commentary.

And HOW would MMFA know which respendants were pro-lifer, pray tell? Seems to me that a good number of those 56%'ers might be either pro-chioice or simply libertarian, but you can't possibly think you can claim ALL of them as 'pro-lifers'! How about "44% seem to think the muder might be excusable"? That would be more inflamatory tha the current headline, and yet still more accurate than your proposal. There's nothing wrong with the headline. There something seriously wrong with these people's HEADS.
