BREAKING NEWS: Michael Savage Tells Truth!
June 02, 2009 5:28 pm ET by Jamison Foser
Well, for about a third of a sentence, anyway. Still, it's a start. Here's Savage, as quoted by the San Francisco Chronicle:
"I'm going to make an allegation that I can't support: these out of context soundbites came from Media Matters, funded by George Soros, whose goal is to wipe out conservative voices in America,'' he told the Chronicle. "If it turns out they're continuing to do this, they're next on my list. I'm not going to tolerate them trying to get me killed.''
What has Savage so upset this time? He has gotten it into his head that Media Matters is responsible for him being banned from the United Kingdom.
Savage, incidentally, once said of Media Matters: "They have no place in America." And he once said "If I had the power by executive order, I would round up every member of the ACLU and of the National Lawyers Guild, and I'd put them in a prison in Guantánamo and I'd throw the key away." So it's a little amusing to see him so upset about his views not being welcome in Britain.
Savage also once reportedly compared Media Matters to HIV. And he lost his MSNBC television show when he told a caller to "get AIDS and die." That last one doesn't have much to do with Savage's latest outburst, though it does have to do with him being a world-class jerk.
Anyway, he's now threatening to sue Media Matters, which would be consistent with his history of suing his critics. His lawsuits don't tend to be successful in court, but maybe they help him feel like he has regained the "manhood" that he says the government "stole" from him.
In any case, Savage has a long and despicable history of making baseless and false allegations; it's nice to see that, for once, he admits he's making things up.

Maybe Savage ought to look into the mirror and figure out why he might be threatened for what he says, not for what MMFA does.
Even though I think his being "threatened" all of the time is yet another farce that he puts out there.
I absolutely do not want to see Sewage killed. This man is electoral gold. I'll be his body guard. I've personally donated to the Michael Sewage for President website (www.Sewage.scum). If anyone kills him it will probably be a conservative for helping to ruin the Con party.
Heil Obama and his apology tour this week!
It is also amazing that in the past few years a significant percentage of the US has gone from voting Republican to voting Democrat and yet not one of these talk show hosts have been swayed by what Repubiicans have done to this country.
Clearly, The Silly Savage can't stand the heat of his own words. Does he not know what he says? MM4A does not "take quotes out of context," and that tired excuse is a slim defense, indeed.
Why is he so threatened by his own statements? Like most bullies, he's a coward, creeping around San Francisco with this bodyguard and concealed weapon. Like Ole BlunderRush and Sheer "Hot Air" Insannity, The Silly Savage is so used to hours of fawning calls from fawning callers he simply can't stand to hear the truth.
Keep up the heat! Perhaps "Dr." Savage will get out of the kitchen...
Savage has lead an interesting life (he was liberal and saw the light) and comes off less bloated then Levin, Limbaugh and O'Reilly. His views come from the heart and not the pocketbook or the Communist Manifesto.

But I guess you're right, totally not a socialist.
That is the difference between the left and the right. The left would have their opposition silenced at any cost. I have heard the most hateful things come from so called "tolerant" liberals.
While these people may not be right, or even righteous, they don't deserve death, and it is very contrary to hear so called "peace advocates" calling for it.
"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

The Bill of Rights, the Magna Charta, we had to fight for these things. Savage is extreme, and he does spew bile at times, and you may disagree with ninety percent of what he says, but we must never condemn his right to say it.
