BREAKING NEWS: Michael Savage Tells Truth!

June 02, 2009 5:28 pm ET by Jamison Foser

Well, for about a third of a sentence, anyway.  Still, it's a start.  Here's Savage, as quoted by the San Francisco Chronicle:

"I'm going to make an allegation that I can't support: these out of context soundbites came from Media Matters, funded by George Soros, whose goal is to wipe out conservative voices in America,'' he told the Chronicle. "If it turns out they're continuing to do this, they're next on my list. I'm not going to tolerate them trying to get me killed.''

What has Savage so upset this time?  He has gotten it into his head that Media Matters is responsible for him being banned from the United Kingdom.

Savage, incidentally, once said of Media Matters: "They have no place in America."  And he once said "If I had the power by executive order, I would round up every member of the ACLU and of the National Lawyers Guild, and I'd put them in a prison in Guantánamo and I'd throw the key away."  So it's a little amusing to see him so upset about his views not being welcome in Britain.

Savage also once reportedly compared Media Matters to HIV.  And he lost his MSNBC television show when he told a caller to "get AIDS and die."  That last one doesn't have much to do with Savage's latest outburst, though it does have to do with him being a world-class jerk.

Anyway, he's now threatening to sue Media Matters, which would be consistent with his history of suing his critics.  His lawsuits don't tend to be successful in court, but maybe they help him feel like he has regained the "manhood" that he says the government "stole" from him.

In any case, Savage has a long and despicable history of making baseless and false allegations; it's nice to see that, for once, he admits he's making things up.

So, let me get this straight. By putting Savage's words up here for all to see, and hear, this is somehow trying to get him killed?

Maybe Savage ought to look into the mirror and figure out why he might be threatened for what he says, not for what MMFA does.

Even though I think his being "threatened" all of the time is yet another farce that he puts out there.

Maybe he's equating himself with those who stir up anti-abortion sentiments (fitting topic for the week). The difference is that MMfA never published Savage's home address.

This man, that you say does despicable things, is an honest man, with no ulterior motives. One read of this article and it's plain that the author himself has an ulterior, if not sinister, motive to hurt Dr. Savage.

      The Brits have banned Sewage...

I absolutely do not want to see Sewage killed. This man is electoral gold. I'll be his body guard. I've personally donated to the Michael Sewage for President website (www.Sewage.scum). If anyone kills him it will probably be a conservative for helping to ruin the Con party.

Savage is also taking credit for the upcoming resignation of British Home Secretary Jacqui Smith. He says his appearance this morning on the BBC radio and the "thousands and thousands" of messages he "is sure" the British consulate is getting from Americans are the reasons. Even though Smith told Prime Minister Gordon Brown of her intentions two months ago.

It's amazing how I am told by the dozens of political radio talk shows broadcast in my city, EVERY ONE OF THEM, that conservative radio is going to get wiped out in America. And the media is "liberal" where conservatives can't get their opinions heard.

It is also amazing that in the past few years a significant percentage of the US has gone from voting Republican to voting Democrat and yet not one of these talk show hosts have been swayed by what Repubiicans have done to this country.

actually it has not been republicans who have done the damage. it is all of the members of the government who think they know what the people want even when the people say otherwise. this goes with both parties, not just the GOP.

It was "Sir" Charles Barkley who claimed to have been misquoted in his autobiography.

Clearly, The Silly Savage can't stand the heat of his own words. Does he not know what he says? MM4A does not "take quotes out of context," and that tired excuse is a slim defense, indeed.

Why is he so threatened by his own statements? Like most bullies, he's a coward, creeping around San Francisco with this bodyguard and concealed weapon. Like Ole BlunderRush and Sheer "Hot Air" Insannity, The Silly Savage is so used to hours of fawning calls from fawning callers he simply can't stand to hear the truth.

Keep up the heat! Perhaps "Dr." Savage will get out of the kitchen...

The thing that gets me about Savage is he has 10M listeners, how can 10M people be so brainwashed? The surprising thing is, he uses words like socialism and communism to describe the actions of Obama, how can people still listen to him when these descriptions are opposite of truth?

Well, how many listener does al franken, randi rhodes and rachel madcow have? Let's add on top of that Ed Schulz viewers, Chris Matthews viewers and Keith-O viewers, and its probably 2 million , double counting.

Savage has lead an interesting life (he was liberal and saw the light) and comes off less bloated then Levin, Limbaugh and O'Reilly. His views come from the heart and not the pocketbook or the Communist Manifesto.

Savage is saying he has never advocated violence. I have heard him on several ocassions ask "where are the soccer thugs" lamenting their disappearance. He usually brings this up when discussing perverts or people going through sex change operations. He also has spoken about when he was young the police would take a lawbreaker or pervert out behind the wall and take care of things. Thinly, very thinly veiled advocacy of violence. I don't know what else could be made of Soccer Thugs...their only purpose is violence.

Michael Savage is a reaction to Michael Weiner, who I went to school with at Jamaica High School and Queens College. He was force-fed liberal doctrine there, and now it's coming up on him so he's hurling chunks in every direction. I don't even think he believes much of what he spouts off, but he's playing the persona of the angry, downtrodden white male for all it's worth, and taking it to the bank. Banning him in Britain was the best thing that could possibly have happened to him, as it will postpone his eventual irrelevance for a while.

I heard this moron when driving long distance. I have never heard such hateful speech. If somebody thinks that he or Limbaugh (second place) are entertainers they must be easily tickled.

I've heard leftists call for the demise of Cheney, Coulter, Bush, Limbaugh, Savage etc... I've actually heard liberals call for, or applaud their misfortunes and deadly ailments.

That is the difference between the left and the right. The left would have their opposition silenced at any cost. I have heard the most hateful things come from so called "tolerant" liberals.

While these people may not be right, or even righteous, they don't deserve death, and it is very contrary to hear so called "peace advocates" calling for it.

"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."
      ---Voltaire

The Bill of Rights, the Magna Charta, we had to fight for these things. Savage is extreme, and he does spew bile at times, and you may disagree with ninety percent of what he says, but we must never condemn his right to say it.
