The above numbers are the result of a TVeyes.com power search for these terms on these networks.
I think these results are obtained by a sort of 'data mining' method, where snippets and fragments of conversations are taken out of context (like you observed), and maybe mislead more us than enlighten us... I suspect that the nine mentions of Socialism Socialist Socialistic on MSNBC last Friday, might contain several 'false positives', like maybe they were talking about 'Social' Security, and Church 'Socials' and even 'Socialites'... and as far as the single mention of Marxism Marxists on MSNBC last Friday, it was probably in truth triggered by talk of either Groucho or Harpo or Chico, but not Karl (and not Zeppo either... it's never Zeppo).
