Fox and its multiple identical personalities would provide an interesting topic for a Masters or Ph.D. thesis on abnormal psychology.
Newsbusters smacks itself down on the "coordination" charge:"It is unknown whether Obama knew exactly what the question was going to be..." Well, if he doesn't know what the question's going to be, then it's not "coordinated". He knew there was a question from an Iranian and he wanted to answer it. I don't see how it's a softball question, so what would the purpose be to arrange a difficult and relevant question? It makes no sense at all.
And on top of that, the exaggeration is absurd. Nobody was ordered to ask anything. Pitney had a question in mind, and he was asked for it. In no way does that translate into "state-run media".
Obviously, presidents usually prepare for their press conferences at least a day in advance by rehearsing answers to hypothetical questions and quite obviously, most of the questions can be reasonably anticipated. If there's a problem with one of our planes falling into the hands of China, the president should very clearly be fully briefed and up-to-speed on that subject.
Yeah, even if the accusation were entirely true, I don't really see the scandal here.
