What happen to shovel ready jobs? Hmm, only thing that got shoveled was the pile of C&*%( of a bill.

Can't the teabaggers make up there mind? Was is it a "dud" or did it result in America becoming a "Socialist-Communist-Marxist-European-Cuban-Chinese-Nazi" nation?

Well, their argument before the stimulus was howling about how long it was going to take to get the money out into the communities, and now they are carping about how little has been done so far?

        Hypocrites.

Was Krugman right about the stimulus being too small? Too soon to tell, but it will be interesting to find out at the end of the year or so.

Krugman's right. Should have been twice the size...

In all honesty, how could we afford a bill twice the size?

It's like putting a band aid on a severed limb. By not doing enough, the patient doesn't recover, just dies a slow, painful death.

Plus Krugman is an economist and a Nobel Prize winner. I'll believe him. As to affording it, if we can afford a 5-year occupation of a foreign country, I'm sure we can find a way to afford to save the economy.

Does this mean that the War ON TerrorĀ® was a dud five years ago? They're pretty slow getting around to announcing that.

Obama answered this in the town hall yesterday. His stimulus is a drop in the deficit budget.

In addition, we can't afford to NOT rescue the economy when it's in the state it was/is in.

So, yeah, we could afford a bill twice the size if it were necessary.
