        No...no...no... DAWUSS...

Only the kids of Republican's or right-wing fanatics are off limits...

Or didn't you get the memo?

Of course, Malia has put herself out there and so deserves to be cast into the spotlight.

Well, at least I see that as the coming excuse as this gains traction in the corporate owned media.

I think the message it sends is that Malia Obama is in favor of peace, and isn't afraid to show it. (By comparison, I suppose the Bush twins could have worn t-shirts advertising their favorite brand of booze.) What's more, Malia--who is very bright and knows she's in the public eye--is sending this message to everyone, not just and certainly not specifically to G8.

Do you suppose that Drudge will ever get it through his hat that "peace" and "peacenik" are not negatives?

Actually, what this is saying is that Malia is a normal pre-teen wearing current fashion. Go to your local mall. You'll find peace symbol earrings, purses, t-shirts, jackets, necklaces . . . it's the style. Don't think Malia gives a rip or even KNOWS the significance, she's just wearing what all of her friends are wearing.

Either that or skulls (at least for boys), what kind of message would he try to make out of that?

I think you're selling her short, bintx. I have little doubt that Malia does know and care about what a peace sign is. It may be fashionable and popular, but she's much too bright not to understand (and support) its significance.

Malia's probably fully aware of what the sleazy right-wing media tried to make of her mother's sleeveless dress and her father's lack of a flag pin, so I'm sure she knows what she's doing when she chooses to wear something with an obvious symbolic connotation.

I agree that Malia probably knows full-well what the peace symbol means, but I doubt she knows about most of the right-wing attacks against her parents. I think the Obamas are smart enough to keep the politics out of parenting, so to speak. If the right-wing attacks affected how the Obamas acted or what they wear, like the flag pin, that's one thing. But no kid wants to hear the awful things being said about their parents, and if they don't affect the family in any way, why tell the kids about it?

I guarantee you that she knows what a peace sign is. And she surely knows the significance of wearing one. All kids aren't the mindless lemmings that you make them out to be.

Wow. PEACE. What a radical a dangerous idea to spread.

Hey CON'S: THIS is why you people lost, and will continue to lose. You let idiots like Drudge speak for you, and they say stupid things like this!!!

Kick the idiots like Drudge, Savage and Limbaugh to the curb and maybe people will eventually stop thinking you're ALL as stupid as they are!

God forbid we send signals that we'd rather live in peace with the rest of the world.

      What a douchebag!

Would Eggman Drudge and the teabaggers be happy if she was wearing a t-shirt with a mushroom cloud, or of abu ghraib, or of the Vietnamese girl covered in napalm? Jebus, you reich-wing scum are pathetic.

Next story will be about the "thug" to her left and isn't she too young to be dating him and why is he wearing a wife-beater, is he abusing Mahlia and why does Obama support the abuse of his daughter?

I'd be more concerned with being seen with a guy wearing a wife beater tee shirt!

If you're talking about the guy in the yellow shirt, that is not a "wife beater" t-shirt.

You can see the beater beneath the yellow shirt. Pardon my ignorance if this is some kind of "in" style!

Y'know, when I was a kid, before I had ever even heard the term "wife beater," we just called 'em undershirts. As in, a shirt you wear under your regular shirt. Which is exactly what he's doing. Go figure.

There are two kinds of undershirts. The sleeved and sleeveless (wife beater).

Someone gave me a mens style book in college. Interestingly enough, the preferred undershirt for the well healed up and coming male was the beater? Go figure!

That may be fine for globe trotting world leaders kids, but try wearing the beater down south and you'll quickly find you need that extra yard of cloth to help with moisture control!

I have no idea what that last sentence is supposed to mean, but didn't you start this silliness by claiming that Malia should be more concerned about being seen with a guy in a wife beater? And now you're saying that it's the preferred undershirt for the well-healed? Um...huh?
