O'Reilly claims media using Goebbels tactics to push "propaganda," left trying to "knock out Judeo-Christian traditions"

From Bill O'Reilly's July 16 column, headlined "Marginalizing Sarah Palin":
With Barack Obama in the White House, the country is facing profound change. America is already on the verge of bankruptcy and federal intrusion into private business, health care, and the environment is unprecedented. The far left is trying to create a huge federal apparatus that will promote income redistribution and "social justice." Also, the left sees a major opportunity to knock out Judeo-Christian traditions, replacing them with a secular philosophy.
In order to accomplish this, the left-wing media is marginalizing people like Sarah Palin who oppose the strategy. Under the guise of hard news reporting, the media is pushing rank propaganda on the citizenry. Dr. Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi propaganda minister, successfully developed this tactic in the 1930's.

Oh, if this were only true. If Sarah was being marginalized then we would see and hear from her less and less, until she finally faded into the sunset.
Secondly, neither he nor the Pope nor Pat Robertson speak for what is or is not Christianity.
As for a huge federal apparatus, has Mr. O'Reilly already forgotten an entire new division of the federal government called Homeland Security, created by the previous President? Where was his concern about government intrusion into private business, not to mention private e-mails and phone calls then?
That doesn't mean that Religion is to be "knocked out", only that government policy is not determined by the fantasies and fairy tales of shamans and priests.
Perhaps Bull should go back and actually read the history of the rough times Jewish people had during the founding of America. Or, of course, about Quakers being put to death for being, well, Quakers.
To simplify a bit (for Bull's benefit) most colonies had a state religion. They were not founded for religious freedom, per se. They were founded so those particular people could practice their particular religion. And woe to the poor soul caught in the wrong colony with the wrong religion.
The history-improvished such as Bull try to revise that sorry tale with crap about America's "Judeo-Christian tradition." Here's a quick test: When do you ever hear Jews talk about it?
Sounds like these Judeo guys are patriots AND pinheads!
