Shorter Peters: "I don't want to convict him before the facts are in, but this guy's a deserter and I hope the Taliban kills him."

Way to support the troops, idiot.

Peters gets my vote for the Creepiest Guy on Fox Noise, just barely beating Krauthammer. Peters also recently suggested possible "military attacks on the partisan media."

Once again demonstrating that in much of the country and certainly in the corporate media, the only good soldier is a dead soldier.

What complete and utter anti-American behavior broadcasting such pro-terrorist propaganda on our nation's airwaves. YOU ARE SCUM, FOX! This is a fact. You are supporting terrorism. This is another fact. How dare you question our citizens and soldiers when they are captured. This is disgusting. Ralph Peters is the biggest Anti-American on the planet.

After four days, McCain made an anti-American propaganda "confession".[33] He has always felt that his statement was dishonorable, but as he later wrote, "I had learned what we all learned over there: Every man has his breaking point. I had reached mine."[46][47] Many American POWs were tortured and maltreated in order to extract "confessions" and propaganda statements, with many enduring even longer and worse treatment;[48] virtually all of them eventually yielded something to their captors.[49]

Once again Fox (har har) "news'" favorite REMF opens his big fat mouth without knowing a damn thing about what he's talking about.

Ralph Peters is not worth the time of day or a second thought to any person of intelligence. He's simply a windbag who needs to rile up anyone he can. I am friends with the soldiers family and let me tell you that the work of folks like Peter's, who is a nasty piece of work, DOES get heard by relatives and close friends of the missing soldier and those words are highly offensive and cruel. Mr. Peter's like all of us will one day answer for his words.

I have never watched Fox news, even though I am a conservative of sorts, but knowing they put a man such as Mr. Peter's on, I will never forgive them for doing so and vow never to watch their channel.

Ralph Peter's is a self important windbag who will answer on the day of judgement for his foolish words.

YES the family see's and hears these things and such commenters are a true heartache to those who love him.

If Ralph the supposed strategist, could find his way out of a paper back maybe he could re-up and go find Bowe. I'm pretty sure those he offends could manage to scrap together money for a plane ticket, a flak jacket, a map (Ralph loves maps) and a sword/gun to cut his way through Taliban forces with. Go Ralph!

As my dad who graduated from the USNA in 47 and who saw action (not Ralph's chairside kind) in Korea would say, he doesn't know his arse#### from a hole in the ground. Grow up Ralph.

I want to see Ralph face my friends, Bowe's parents, and see how proud he is of his verbal diahhrea in the real world. Perhaps he is as compassionless as he looks and could do it there as well as on TV.

As Ralph is in the media, and has some military background (which has seriously had no effect on him having any class) you'd think he of all people should know that 1) there is always MORE to the story than is being told by Military PR at the moment 2)Even the best soldiers can be used for propaganda by the worst of men 3)When one doesn't "know the facts yet" as he stated at the beginning of his Fox piece, one should SHUT UP. Even a fool can be thought wise if he remains silent. (I suggest Mr Ralph write that one and stick it on his fridge under a magnet)

First of all, why would a US soldier desert once in country? Where is he/she going to go? How would they get back home? Why would they do this in theatre, and open themselves up to getting captured and possibly killed by the enemy? This whole desertion thing sounds like a bunch o' BS.

That being said, let's get our soldier back. ASAP. I'm sure there are folks on the ground in country working on it as we speak, and I'm sure they could do it (think Delta, Green Berets, and or SEALs). Chances are good, they'll get our guy back, and bring him home to his family.

Um...did this guy just give the Taliban the green light to execute an American?

I'm trying to imagine Fox's reaction if a liberal said this.

Seriously, Fox should fire this guy YESTERDAY and forbid his name ever being mentioned on the network again. This is obscene.

Anchor Baby Malkin: Lt. Col. Ralph Peters had tough words about Pfc. Bergdahl’s reported desertion yesterday and has a warning for the media:
So, when are the teabagging reich-wingers going to start supporting our troops?

Right-wingers love our soldiers, until one does something inconvenient for republicans. Then its time to get the lynch mobs ready.

I expect this fiasco will result in loss of viewers for Bill. He seems to be aiming to have a smaller, more loyal following. Saying that it is not "spin" to call someone a "deserter" because they were captured by the enemy, is..double-plus good!

Just to get this straight, is this Bill's story?: "Americans will tend to lose support for the war if they see a captured soldier on a Taliban video. Losing support for a war is bad. Therefore, we should say something to avoid losing support. Therefore, we should say that the solider who was captured was a bad person, and therefore Americans won't feel bad for him. Problem contained."
