Irony is dead: Glenn Beck lectures the White House about "dangerous" speech

This is the same teabagging hick that claims the government is going to hack into your computers, lock you up in FEMA camps, steal your children, force you to have an abortion, let old people die, and that Obama is a Hitler-like, communist, fascist, Stalinist, Marxist, radical extremist. Did I miss anything?

Health care freedoms? Right. In Ontario health care system, I can go to any doctor that is currently accepting patients or accepts walk-ins. My boyfriend is Virginian and can only go to the doctors that his insurance approves.
Hateful and scary language? You mean like I answer to God, and he speaks through me. I wish I was the dictator. Left wing loons. Fascists. Stalinists. Leninists. Marxists. Freedom Haters. Etc. Etc.

Oh how cute, Beck can't remember the mean things that the WH said as it bullied its way into war on Iraq, killing tens of thousands of innocent people.

None of these right wing blatherers on TV or radio have a pair to grow. I hope Glen Beck comes to my hometown because I am going to treat him like the idiots on the right treat Democrats. And I hope one of his minions puts their hands on me. I am an agnostic but I might just pray for it.

Really, Glenn should recoginize hate language when he sees it, he uses it so often, his practice has made him an expert. Karl Rove and George W. Bush got their lessons in politicing from the late Lee Atwater, whose career was documented in the movie "Boogeyman," a pun on his penchant for playing music when offered the opportunity, and his penchant for scaring Democrats by twisting truths to the breaking point and using the information to destroy the other candidate. He is the man who gave us Willie Horton. These techniques were still in use in the Bush White House, when they used lies, innuendo, and carefully co-ordinated leaks to tarnish their critics. But these politics are not new to the Republican Party. Just look at how Richard Nixon got into the Senate-the whispering campaign, where unknown callers would say "Helen Gahagan Douglas is married to a Jew." As a result, the sitting Congresswoman lost both the Senate and her House seats. And then there was the junior Senator from Wisconsin, dear old Tail Gunner Joe McCarthy and his little list. Yes, there may have been a few communists in Washington and Hollywood, but there worst actions did not justify the damage done to countless Americans, not to mention civil discourse, carried out in the Red Witch Hunt of the Red Scare era. Glenn is pushing for a paradise where there is no law and no restrictions, and yet everyone somehow gets along, because they are too afraid of the other person's guns to act against them. No thank you.

First off, Glenn, you're in entertainment, just like Rush Limbaugh. Calling yourself an 'anchor' is not only a lie, it's a smear on the few remaining journalists in this country. Jon Stewart springs to mind as an example.

Second, in case you hadn't noticed, the seat of the federal government is in Washington, D.C. It's not now, and is not likely to be in the future, located in Hollywood.

If you're looking for accountability, where have you been in this call for federal accountability the last eight years? Our freedoms are already gone: Bush/Cheney saw to it, and you cheered them on.

Neither side has a monopoly on hate speech, but it's clear that Republicans and conservatives control about 80% of the market.
