So who’s still advertising on Beck? His August 25 advertisers were…

August 25, 2009 7:30 pm ET by Matt Gertz

Media Matters for America noted yesterday that thirty-six companies had reportedly said they will no longer run ads on Glenn Beck's Fox News show. After we posted yesterday’s advertisers, one of them, Bank of America, contacted us saying that those ads had run on the program “in error.”

Gonna give everyone an Applebees gift certificate are you? Mmmmm mmmmmm nothing says I love you than blood pressure raising artery clogging high sodium food fried with partially hydrogenated vegetable oils.

Or maybe a get out of jail free card from Binder & Binder?

Yup, some real high quality companies advertising there these days.

Yeah, not much other tangible things to give than Applebee's. What does Pulaski and Middleman do?

So what are you going to do if they suddenly decide advertising on Beck is a bad idea between now and Xmus?

I thought you guys didn't like trial lawyers? Going to put everyone on your X-Mas list on retainer I see.

Lot of gold resellers (you guys missed Rosland Capital), a dash of personal injury lawyers, a smidge of credit problem companies and a scattering of other companies who may have bought big or bought cheap... that's what Becky's ad line up really amounts to.

What it tells me about his audience is that they're seen as being older, in financial trouble, and they like bad food.

Sounds like the AM talk radio advertisers. Maybe they got a 2-for-1 ad package with Glenn's radio show.

I suspect they are rotating others in as they swap out the ones who have specified a preference not to endorse Beck's views. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Some advertisers may not appreciate being positioned to endorse hate speech when they bought time on what they expected to be news.

Beck does not do the news silly. He gives a personal opinion or makes fun of political figures. 99% of what he says is correct and the fact that you think he does any kind of news shows exactly how "bright" you are.

Beck is actually very well known and has a large viewing group. As things heat up and more people lose faith in obama and his merry men, Beck may find not only his ratings but also his advertising price going up.

As far as picking on those that actually advertise on a show, have you actually looked at who advertises on your favorite channel? Beck, as any talk show host, has no control over who pays for what spot that airs during that time slot.

Somewhere somebody forgot that the is a 'TALK SHOW HOST' who broke all records on viewing just last night, lol. Maybe because now everybody is watching to see the commercials. Ironic!!!

If we could organize two steam locomotives leaping into the air to collide, it would be very popular veiwing. Any spectacular disaster attracts eyes. I think Beck's show has the potential to become one. Everyone is watching though, seems a goodly stretch. I'd just guesstimate 297 million are not.

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that "Smart Balance" has anything to do with Beck?
