Hey, MSNBC/CNN: Let's see you play this clip all week

August 25, 2009 9:15 pm ET by Jamison Foser

Over the past few weeks, there's one thing the media -- particularly cable news -- has made clear: Nothing, but nothing, is more newsworthy than a citizen voicing a complaint at a town hall.

With that in mind, let's see if MSNBC and CNN and the rest of the media keep replaying and talking about this clip from tonight's town hall held by Rep. Jim Moran:

Here's the comment, in case you can't view the video:

I'm very concerned about the quality of the debate.  You know, not only the screaming of misrepresentations, but also the fact that the press really doesn't seem to want to cover policy.  You know, they want to cover gossip, and I'm very disappointed, and I would like all of you press to start covering the policy.

BINGO! This man is calling it like it is without screaming. Was he unpatriotic? Disrespectful? Or did he just state a fact?

This will never appear on the mainstream media.

Sooner or later someone is going to stand up and say "Bring on the government bureaucrats. I'll take them any day over the insurance corporations bureaucrats whose job depends on denying me health care."

I have Medicare. I wish everybody did.

Who the hell let this guy in?
His reasoned thinking and thoughtful comments have no place in today's media.

I watched the entire townhall even on CSPAN...it was great. The anti-reform crowd was there and was shouting and being disruptive, however the pro-reform crown out shouted them and dominated the hall.

Moran and Howard Dean were excellent...glad I watched it.

I was there, but outside. The crazies were out. A guy with Obama signs had his signs ripped from his hands and got punched in the face. There were so many people there, there were more left outside than inside. I still haven't seen what happened inside. I am at a business conference, so I haven't had access to computers or much TV all week. I was told that as a Federal employee, I am elitist royalty and I don't pay taxes, and it is terrible to be forced by school loans to have to work for the government for ten years to pay them off! One nasty woman behind me described Planned Parenthood as "abortion mongers" and she mocked me when I was trying to give her facts to back up my positions. However, I would say that the pro health care reform side outnumbered the anti-reform crowd, and some of the anti-crowd were trying to provoke violence.

      Rest in peace, Edward Kennedy.

Step up, Progressives. Don't let the liars despoil the final legacy of the Lion of the Senate.

      Health care reform, NOW!
