Why was a Fox cameraman filming the front of our office building?

September 02, 2009 2:45 pm ET by Karl Frisch

Earlier today a member of our research staff was on his way to lunch when he spotted a man filming the Media Matters office building from across the street.

When the staffer returned from lunch he spoke to one of our building's great security guards and was told that the cameraman had initially been on our side of the street filming but they'd asked him to move. The cameraman identified himself as affiliated with "Fox TV" and said that his assignment was to take several exterior shots of the building from different angles.

So, what does this all mean?

Will Media Matters be subjected to one of Bill O'Reilly's notorious ambush interviews?

Will Glenn Beck wrap us up into one of his loony conspiracy theories?

Will Sean Hannity lay into us for cavorting with socialists, communists, cartoonists and pianists?

Who knows, I guess we'll just have to stay tuned.

Without the White-House giving Fox News talking points their reporting has become more Erratic.
Without Shepard Smith holding the line their Journalism is Meaningless Static.
The Rest of Fox News is like a Traveling Circus Plus or Minus the Bearded Lady.
All their missing is a good Theme Song Produced & Written by Slim Shady.

      Speak truth to power.

      Hmmmm.

      Here's a totally nutty idea.

Beck or O'Rielly or Hannity do a "fair and balanced" story about how MediaMatters is a threat to the nation and something should be done about them.

"Here's a picture of their office building located at (insert address here). We suggest irate viewers send a 'strong' message of their discontent to Media Matters. If the message is 'powerful' enough and contains enough 'explosive' language then Media Matters can be brought down. Of course we mean sending them a letter and nothing more forceful."

      <nudge nudge wink wink>

      Guys, beef up security.

      Now, now, Mr. Frisch.

Let's not go all Glen Beck (paranoid) with this.

I'm sure there's a logical explanation about this that Fox will surely tell us in due time.

We shouldn't play into their hands.

After all, they're just applying more of "Goebbels' Principles of Propaganda":

"... goading the enemy into revealing vital information about himself"

"Material from enemy propaganda may be utilized in operations when it helps diminish that enemy's prestige or lends support to the propagandist's own objective."

"The communication must reach the audience ahead of competing propaganda."

I think if mediamatters send camera infront of their door and, may be intercept either the rat Sean or the idot Glenn Beck or the bull Bill O'Reilly's and see without reading materials how much they know. I think all of them are zero and got the feeling when they speak like a 4 years old kid.

Get ready for more bully tactics such as ambushes from O'Reilly.

And keep up the good work!

You know you've gotta them worried when they start using intimidation ...

BTW, I couldn't make it through the day without MMFA

Karl, I want you and all the MMFA staffers to remember four words:
      Andrea, Mackris, loofa, falafel.

If you're ambushed and don't want to give O'Reilly any usable footage, repeat these four words over and over again in response to every question that O'Reilly's goat boy throws at you.

      It was an Al-Qudia member.
He was filming the exterior in order to help planning of a terrorist act. Afterwards, they are going to blame it on the right wing. This, they hope, will cause America to slide into the chaos of a civil war, as left fights the right.

OK, so it is my Jack Bauer fantasy.

Hmmm....your building must be the staging ground for Obama's socialist, marxist, communist revolution.

You guys should have followed him back to the office and then ambushed him. Or you should have called the police and said that some shady guys are selling drugs from some van across the street.

Fox may be readying their loyal viewer to go Media Matters and try something very foolish. Don't be surprised if Glenn Beck shows up with a vest full of dynamite.
