Andrea Mitchell's double-standard, continued

September 09, 2009 1:42 pm ET by Jamison Foser

Andrea Mitchell just asked Valerie Jarrett whether Barack Obama would follow House Democrats in insisting on "the public option, do or die."

I'm still waiting for Mitchell to ask a conservative whether they insist on "the public option, don't or die."

In all honesty, that question is completely unnecessary. The conservatives have already said 'oppose Obama or die'. Doesn't matter what's in the bill, doesn't matter what he proposes or attempts. Does. Not. Matter.

They've already decided. And, just like their Great Decider, they have come the conclusion that facts are completely irrelevant to their position. For Andrea Mitchell to ask a conservative 'public option: don't or die?' would, by now, be redundant.

I'm sorry, I can't get past giggling at the thought of Andrea Mitchell confronting a conservative with a tough question.

      Give me a few minutes...
