Surprise! Michelle Malkin attacking school kids. Again.

September 28, 2009 2:42 pm ET by Eric Boehlert

The blogger's creepy desire to demonize U.S. school children who in any way cross paths with Obama, or even sing his praise, is now hurtling into the area of dementia.

In August, Malkin attacked an 11-year old because she stood up and asked Obama a question at a town hall forum. Last week, she smeared second graders because they sang a song in honor of Obama during Black History Month. This week, she ridicules teenagers who took part in the White House's volunteer initiative to be junior lobbyists for the push by Chicago to land the 2016 Olympics.

BTW, in case you didn't know, Chicago's attempt to win the Olympics is now viewed within the fever swamps of the right-wing blogosphere as the epitome of all that is evil and crooked in the world. Why? Because Obama's for it, that's why.

Stay classy Michelle.

Yeah, because it's so strange for the third-largest city on our nation to try to host an event like this. And it's so strange that members of the community would lobby for the event.

Just now on MSNBC, they questioned the lobbying done by the Obama's for the Olympics - supposedly he's the first President to ever directly lobby for the Olympics. His wife is likely to head to Copenhagen for the vote, and Valerie Jarrett is a former leader of the effort to get Chicago the 2016 Summer Olympics.

But heads of state representing Rio and Madrid are supposedly going to this meeting too

It's surprising that this is the first time a president has directly lobbied for an Olympics, but think about the jolt to the economy winning it would be! I love these people who say that he shouldn't be "wasting time" on this when we have an economy to fix - this will help fix the economy! I'm not saying that the US would make a huge windfall if Chi were given the Games, but the work involved in prepping for it would be real, infrastructure-altering and -adding work. For the better part of a decade.

Malicious Malkintent has accused the Democrats and, Liberals in general, of using and politicizing children, but I can't remember a Liberal who has ever made as much of a spectacle of children as she does, and she is downright nasty to them. Here is what I know, every winter, scores of Catholic school children are sent to the roam the halls of the Capitol to lobby for changes in the law that would allow tax dollars to come to Catholic schools. Most of these schools are by their nature, Conservative. The children don't really understand what they are asking of the legislators, but for many, it is a great thrill to be within the corridors of power. There were lots of kids at the Teabag Party on 9/12, I didn't actually speak to any of them, but I am not sure they would have understood the message they were asked to carry. It is easy to get upset about deficits, but it is really hard to understand that the government provides services for that tax money and those deficits, and they may not wish to do without the services if they were cut (to be fair, most adults fail on this point, too). Yes, Liberals may drag their children to protests or other political gatherings, Conservatives certainly do, but I don't think Keith or Rachel has ever attacked the parent or the child for being politically involved. Ironically, neither of them has children, Malicious has a couple, I wonder how she would feel if someone went after her children like she has gone after these other children? I can tell you, that if she ever went after mine this way, I'd spend every cent I had going after her with whatever the law would allow. Most of these children and their parents are private individuals, she has no right to out them or harass them for her profit.

        Here here...

...her arguments about this nonsense are just plain lazy...a school somewhere did a skit sometime about someone they like...and so what?

What are people supposed to do, tell them what they can or cannot do in school? or the kids can only sing and dance about "celebrities" from pop idol or the Current Top 40 lists?

I am convinced that these people are snickering in a back room somewhere about how they are able to change the public conversation repeatedly and its driving me up the wall that most news outlets oblidge them, i was floored when i saw CNN carry the "latest" school children indoctrination nonsense, somehow it seems they just cant let FOX carry a story without them weighing in.

I understand that all news should be covered, good or bad, but something like this CNN should be more than happy to leave to FOX and their crazy folk to deal with on their own, to have a network like FOX does that does nothing but harp on and on about something as ridiculous as this UNTIL someone picks it up also, is just childish and the fact that all other networks condone this is the reason why it WILL NOT stop!

Ps: about the Olympics, despite the problems that are usually associated with the Olympics, someone should remind the right wing lunatics that having an Olympic city come to a town/country is one of the quickest ways to get jobs and employment and development to materialize. Maybe they know this, but think Chicago is the backwater area of the US and does not deserve it, if it is going to Chicago, i guess they'd rather not have it at all, damn people, i refuse to allow myself be upset by the constant ringing in my ear that comes from the likes of Michel Malkin.

I get it now. Obama is from Chicago, and he would love for the Olympics to be in, Chicago.

HE MUST BE STOPPED AT ALL COSTS!

We know that the Olympics are nothing more than a socialist gathering of so called athletes, who cavort and frolic for a few weeks every 4 years, and it would just be BAD for our country (if Obama wants it, we're against it!).

But seriously, does Obama derangement syndrome know no bounds? The Olympics? Seriously? How can anyone argue against the lobbying of the Olympic committee by the POTUS for his home city? Where is the downside to this? Let me answer, there isn't one. Not for Chicago, and not for the entire country.

I like Chicago! I know a great Thai place, an old record store and a used book store a couple of blocks off of Michigan.

There are a couple of downsides one being the people who will be displaced from their homes. I live near the area that will be hosting the Olympics but I'm a fairly new resident so if offered a good deal I'm gone but some of the folks who have been here for decades or own a longtime family home may nor want to displace themselves for a two week event. I'm torn, I can appreciate the economic development but it will also disrupt many lives.

I hate to be ignorant but who in the heck is Michelle Malkin? She claims she's been a 'journalist' for 17 years, put out a corruption book on President Obama when he and his staff just got into office (most people wait a year or so0< is condemning the Burlington County school system for an innocent Obama song during black history month, is condeming the City of Chicago's Olympic bid, and recently thinks the poor Chicago Honor student who got beaten to DEATH by bullies is a product of African Americans... and she goes around blogging hate and mis-information worse than Ann Coulter. Is she Ann Coulter's lover or something?!?! My only question about this one is -- was Michelle Malkin EVEN born in the USA? Is she a US citizen? Her parents? One of the conservatives should check into that before such praise.

Here's one of the comments on Malkin's blog.

Is there no depth to which this scumbag won’t step.

This is no different that Hamas’ use of schools to position their rocket launchers.

WTF? Obama and his staff would like to get the Olympics here in 2016, and his using words to help get them here is equivalent to threatening Israeli citizens with rocket launchers?

        Is "scumbag" a direct quote?

If so, I would love to see the POTUS sue this low class blogger for slander.
