Glenn Beck teams up with Alex Jones to fight world peace

October 09, 2009 1:50 pm ET by John V. Santore

In his response to the announcement that President Obama had been awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize, Glenn Beck sounded at times like conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, all while continuing to willfully ignore the currents of racially motivated violence flowing within the 9-12 "movement" he is working to build.

BECK: These progressives are extraordinarily powerful. And this campaign of Barack Obama, this global campaign for Barack Obama, is done by global interests that have extraordinary power. They're very well connected.

Point taken, Glenn. Everyone knows that the Nobel Committee has been in the pocket of the Tri-Lateral Commission and the Council on Foreign Relations for years. It's all part of the New World Order.

But here was where Beck really showed his disregard for reality:

BECK: The Nobel Peace Prize should be turned down by Barack Obama and given -- you ready for this? Oh, this one's gonna make headlines -- should be given to the Tea Party goers and the 9-12 Project.

Yes, when Alfred Nobel established a prize to be awarded "to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity among nations," he was definitely thinking about the individuals who held signs like these at the 9-12 march in Washington:

santorepost1 santorepost2

santorepost3 santorepost4

Beck, of course, refuses to acknowledge the undeniable existence of such ugliness, let alone denounce it. Rather, he has said the Tea Party march last month consisted of nothing more than "hugging" and "singing."

It was perhaps the last portion of Beck's statement on the Nobel news that was most revealing, in which he railed against the "arrogance of the progressives."

BECK: Two weeks into his presidency, they nominated him for it, and said, oh, this is gonna be a slam dunk. And because of the Tea Party goers and the 9-12 Project people that stood in his way, and stopped him from accomplishing the things that he thought, please, I'm the Messiah. I'll be able to accomplish that.

So let's be clear: Beck is proud that his movement is deliberately standing in the way of those who seek to promote world peace. And he is ecstatic that his supporters are hurting President Obama's chances of manifesting the aspirations of Alfred Nobel and all those who have won the Nobel Peace Prize.

This isn't the product of a cogent political philosophy. It's politically expedient nihilism.

Here are Beck's remarks concerning the 9-12 rally:

And here he is talking today about the Nobel Committee's decision:

All I can say is old Glennie and his band of right wing crackpots are twisting themselves into such a contorted shape over the Nobel prize, I can't even think of where to start putting the mustard.

I am glad to see this Nobel Prize making the right lose its head. It shows them for what they are.

We really didn't need this to see them for what they are. Day in day out they show what they're made of.

I have to figure that Beck is a war "junkie".
What he wants is more war, not less.
He need america to show her strength and put all them "commie" countries back in their place.

Besides, if there is peace, there won't be any new video of smart bombs, cruise missles, etc blowing up buildings somewhere in the Middle East.
I mean, what is he going to do for entertainment then?

When Dan Rather of CBS reported incorrectly about President Bush's military service, he was forced to resign after more than 40 years as a newsman.

Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly make more glaring errors than the Cubs and Sox combined. Why have none resigned? Why are CBS and Dan Rather held to a higher standard than this group of morons?

Because Glenn, Sean & Bill are as informed as the 3 Stooges but the only people who realize it are not the ones who watch them to find out the 'truth'. Oh and Rush is BOTH Laurel & Hardy.

So has Glenn or anyone else theorized how the whole trip to get the Olympics in Chicago was actually a cover for the lobbying to get the Nobel? I can't wait to here the conspiracy theories. The aluminum foil will be off the shelves this weekend.

This is so disgusting. Why don't these people use their time in a positive way? Their mouths are so big, why not use them to improve education in low socioeconomic areas of this country so we don't have an entire generation growing up just like them-uninformed misinformed, and ignorant to FACTS! Remember the Big Lie? The bigger the lie the more people believe it...Glen, please close your mouth, open a text book or health plan, constitution, then, only then, should you and your buddy Rush begin to utter a single word publicly. UGH!

Let's face it, even BHO himself was totally embarrassed by this 'award' which really has lost its importance and value over the years.
I mean, Al Gore got it for some poorly put together powerpoint presentation that promoted a hoax, a bit of work that would have earned a D+ if submitted in junior high school.

We could care less about it. We are too busy watching the far left globalist kooks like Obama and his illegal czars dancing on their puppet strings for their euro-trash handlers; monarchs and oligarchs like (criminal) Soros, Brzezinski, Kissinger and Rockefeller and the money that fuels the trashing of America for their benefit.

The prize is now awarded to who can be the best tin pot dictator and I must say BHO wins that hands down. Who fears the Taliban when we have the real terrorists occupying the WHITE HOUSE.

You nailed it NH. Even before the election, Obama has done nothing but try and undermine our liberty in America.
Barack Obama voted YES to reauthorize the Patriot Act, (S.2271). It was under the Bush administration that this unconstitutional overnight revision of the nation's surveillance laws was enacted.
Barack Obama supported the FISA Amendment Act, (H.R. 6304). This bill gave immunity to telecommunications companies that helped the Bush administration spy on Americans.
Barack Obama voted YES on The Dream Act, (S.2205). As a pro-United Nations globalist, it appears Barack Obama has an open borders, one world government philosophy, with no concern for our national sovereignty, just like George Bush.
Barack Obama pushed for the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, (H.R.1424). How dare Obama even consider giving the failed and deceitful Bush administration more money and power. This is unconstitutional. One trillion dollars more, is somehow supposed to magically appear and solve all our problems?

These people are obviously nuts, but as much as it sickens me to say, I agree with them, albeit for different reasons. Not being George Bush is not a reason to win a major award. I find it hilarious that a president who's dragging his feet on getting out of one war and looking to extend another one wins an award for promoting peace. Also don't forget the situation in Iran and North Korea, you know, the one where we're telling them they can't have nuclear weapons when we have thousands of them. Just because I voted for him doesn't mean I think he's infallible, nor does my dissent mean that I'm a racist or that I hate America. It's painful to see Obama supporters use the same tactics that they were condemning his predecessor for.
