President Obama is the head of his party, the Democrats. Hillary is serving as his Secretary of State, a key Cabinet position in his Administration. For her to announce a run for the office in 2010 would be bad for her, bad for the President, and bad for the country, because it would mean that civil war had broken out in the Cabinet. That Fox could ask that question speaks volumes of their ill will toward the duly elected government of the country.

I totally agree with you there, but I have to ask; did they change the presidential term to two years when I wasn't looking??
I'm just kidding. In all seriousness, I think you bring up a good point. If, especially now, less than a year into Pres. Obama's first term, Sec. Clinton released a statement that she was thinking about running in 2012, that would cause all sorts of confusion in the Democratic Party. Also, at this point, what's the hurry? It's still 2009. She's got some time to figure out her future plans.

No, they didn't change the term (I should know better), I have been thinking about the 2010 mid-term elections and just slipped up. I remember what Hillary looked like when she accepted the position as Secretary of State, you could see it was hard for her, because she knew that it was the end of her own chances to be elected to the White House. She put her duty to the country over her own ambitions. I can't imagine that she would change her mind so completely, especially when she has been so visible within the Administration. A Secretary of State can make a lot of change in the world, if they work with the President.

I know it was just a slip of the tongue. I was just messing with you. I totally agree with your assessment of Clinton. It was clearly hard for her to give up her own ambitions, and I applaud her for it.

When I went to Glenn's Teabagger Party, I was standing behind some guys who were talking about Congressional terms and they had no idea how long they were. That was one of the big things I used to hit on when I was teaching Government.

"how can anything she says be trusted"

Because unlike republicans, she can get through multiple paragraphs without lying.

And of course , she can totally fabricate a story to impress the voters , get her daughter to lie about it and she is still acceptable to you. No wonder you folks liked Kennedy so much. And Frank and Dodd and Rangel etc.

Oh dear! Does that mean that, as an unsuccessful prognosticator, Morris will never again be invited onto Fox News to share his insightful opinions anymore?
