Glenn Beck: Dumb or lying?

Glenn Beck promotes the ludicrous lie that Nancy Pelosi is going to try to ban Fox News from "covering Congress":

If you follow the link, you'll see why this is an obvious lie: in the made-up quote attributed to Pelosi, she talks about "the efficacy of single payer health insurance."  Single-payer, of course, is not on the table.

So which is it: Is Glenn Beck dumb enough to believe the quote was true, or dishonest enough to hype it knowing it wasn't?  Or both?

      I don't think it's any accident that he left the vowel out of "can't" so that people might read a different vowel there. He can use the excuse that he's just using a Twitter abbreviation for "can't."

      Seriously, I think he did that on purpose.

      Beck is not dumb, he is a liar and propagandist. These guys don't need facts, they make them up as they go along.

        And all this time, I thought it was consuming of too much tea that water-looged the brains of the republicons. But New Frontier has found the secret of the Eternal Stupidity of the Right. Drinking from the Persecuted Victim Hot Tub is really the source. And from my information, this Hot Tub has never been cleaned. So many of the Repubs are always pee'd off. Now I understand why.

        There should be a Mr. YUK sticker on that tub.

      Oct. 28, 2009 12:43 PM. This just in from Speaker of the House Pelosi. In an interview with MSNBC's Keith Olberman last night, Nancy Pelosi announced that she would move to bring a vote to the floor of The House of Representatives as early as next week to ban Fox from covering Congress. "That Fox regularly grants access to Republican Congressman to spread their lies and propaganda on their airwaves is a violation of the public trust, and their continued desire to challenge such well documented facts as Global Warming, and the efficacy of single payer health insurance, proves that they are simply doing the work of the special interests. They should thus be stripped of their journalistic access in the halls of Congress," argued Pelosi.

      Nov. 15, 2009 12:43 PM. This just in from White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs. Responding to rumors that Fox News will be cut from the annual White House Turkey pardoning ceremony press pool,.....

      It goes on and on about future events.

        The Beckies won't understand the concept of the date on the article. But why should they care. If Becky twits in the woods, it must be true.

        Maybe Rush will tell the Right it is a joke..even he wants them to look somewhat sane.

      My motto is, "Never ascrtibe to malice that which can be explained by stupidity."

      At least... it WAS... Before Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Rielly, Mike Savage, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter and Glenn Beck came into my life.

      No one sufficiently stupid enough to buy into all thet h*rsesh!t they shovel could possibly be as successful as they are. The money the make is far too great for 'stupidity' to suffice as an explanation.

      While they're not mutually exclusive, I say: MALICE.

      Beck does not concern himself with truth so obviously he intentionally LIED!!

      Anyway, Nancy Pelosi would never refer to fox as "FOX NEWS" . .

      Can't put lipstick on THAT pig!!
