And that's what has to be done, besides trying to cover more Americans and removing barriers like pre-existing conditions and benefit caps from the marketplace.
Tort reform leaves 99.5% of those increasing costs untouched. Insurance across state lines does nothing - insurance companies can get approved to sell insurance in any state now. All it does is deny states the right to set different standards for levels of insurance - it's actually a stripping of rights from states, somehting that you'd think that conservatives were against. And they would be against it except for their competing need to help business! Then it's screw the state's rights issues.
And the final one - pooling of risk? That already happens, duh. No one who has private insurance pays for themselves - it's not like their insurance premiums go into a vault to be withdrawn in time of need! For cripes sake, when will Republicans get a clue and get a brain?
