Marc Rudov offended that Maria Shriver sees a "Woman's Nation"

November 03, 2009 12:07 pm ET by Terry Krepel

Remember Marc Rudov? He's the frequent Fox News guest who thinks Hillary Clinton deserves to be called a "B-word," ridiculed a study on housework as the product of a "gyno-versit[y]," insists that "girls just love to expose themselves," among other things.

Rudov, who nevertheless calls himself a "feminist," has now brought his stylings to Accuracy in Media, where he has a column bashing NBC's Maria Shriver for her "A Woman's Nation" series:

Maria Shriver, you have two sons and two daughters. Do your sons like hearing from you that they're growing up in a woman's nation? I doubt it. What will their friends say? Nothing flattering. What will your daughters think about their brothers - and all men? Isn't your TV program just as destructive as those that once prompted mothers to teach "life in a man's world" to their daughters?

Rudov is just getting warmed up. He then declares that all "laws and policies that confer upon women unilateral rights and protections in rape, reproduction, abortion, custody, child support, domestic violence, workplace practices, and immigration" are "unconstitutional" because "[o]ur legal system is designed to be blind to specific groups," yet such laws get passed anyway because "spineless men fear retribution from feminists and sexual retaliation from their wives for writing, passing, enforcing, and adjudicating gender-neutral laws."

Rudov then blames American women for the current state of American men:

Men are fast becoming slacker dudes and permanent blue-collar workers. This is because highschool programs favor girls; college-enrollment stats prove it. Not only are women dominating at the undergraduate level, they are receiving more than 50% of degrees in law, medicine, and business. At UC Davis 80% of veterinary grads are women. The trend of female domination is growing unabated.

Is this a problem? You betcha. A society of marginalized men is a weak society. Whom will these highly educated women marry? Slacker dudes? I don't think so. Given that 40% of American children are born out of wedlock, marriage isn't a big concern for many women. Too bad. Every study of teenage pregnancy, drug usage, alcoholism, gang membership, crime, and school dropouts points to the lack of fathers at home. Women file 70% of divorces and choose single motherhood as a lifestyle.

Then, it's back to bashing Shriver, claiming that she's "compounding the omnipresent wedge between men and women" and that "any men who rally your cause are pathetic eunuchs - proof of your thesis."

Yet Rudov did find one bright spot in his alleged emasculation:

In canonizing women as strong, smart, talented, and self-reliant - and they are - you have done men a big favor: terminated all justification for women to receive alimony and child support. You are the alimony terminator. We love you. This is fantastic, as Arnold would say.

And so, America is now a Woman's Nation, a matriarchy, a gynocracy. Women are in control. They no longer need, and therefore cannot require, men to support them financially - at any time, in any way, for any reason. Otherwise, they'd be hypocrites, wouldn't they?

Sounds like Rudov needs to decide whether he's upset that women are taking over or relieved because he's no longer expected to do anything for them.

If the alternative is a life stuck with a bozo like Rudov, this is hardly surprising.

Rudov, who nevertheless calls himself a "feminist,"
      Q. How many legs does a horse have if you call a tail a leg?
      A. Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it one.

I feel so threatened! How can we reverse this terrible trend?

It looks like we've got two people that don't understand sarcasm, or, more likely, we've got two drive-by thumbs-down cowards in the neighborhood. Well, if that's what they need to make themselves feel important, than I'm glad to help them out. It's obvious they don't have enough of a life anywhere else.

I didn't realize that feminism was another word for misogyny, silly me. With attitudes like his, we shouldn't have to have a show that talks about a woman's perspective. What does he have to say about SpikeTV? I can tell you that I don't watch Lifetime. I haven't watched Oprah or soap operas in years, and years. In my current position, women are the bosses, for two tiers above my team, and my team only has one male member. Now, there are male dominate teams and some male supervisors in my office, but passed this building, the bosses are all still men, up to the President (Civil Service). The world has gotten to be a better place for working women, but it isn't equal yet. I voted for Hillary in the primary because, when it came down to it, I identified more with her as a woman, wife, and mother than I did with then Senator Obama, even though we are nearly the same age. I smiled for days when Nancy Pelosi was made Speaker of the House. What will it be like for my daughters in 30 years?

The only thing that's not even remotely stupid in his article is the child support/alimony issue. Men are consistently raked over the coals when it comes to this, as well as custody, dividing up property, etc., regardless of whether the man is the primary or only breadwinner or not. I guess it's easy to be independent and strong when someone else is paying the bills and you're living in what used to be their home.
And yes, I learned all of this from first hand experience, and from hearing plenty of others as bad or worse than mine. That being said, I don't hate women or think they should be treated like animals, which seems to be the premise of this BS article.

I read this article expecting to learn about some crazy man ranting about feminists. However, when I read Rudov's quotes they made perfect sense to me!

Far from bashing Rudov, I'm glad that he got some extra coverage. This is a Women's Nation and it pretty much sucks to be a man in it. However, as Rudov point's out, we men have only ourselves to blame for passing all of these stupid laws favoring women in every realm of society.

I agree that it IS time for total equality between the sexes. Let's stop favoring women.

Yes, men need to wake up to the fact that we live in a Gynocracy. I call it the FemiNazi Regime. Women are entitled, privileged, and given more rights than men when it comes to everything (military service, reproductive rights, family court rights, child custody rights, employment rights, etc).

My suggestion for men is to visit websites like Rudov's websites and other websites (mensnewsdaily.com, avoiceformen.com, etc) that fight for equality for men.

Wake up guys! It's time to fight the FemiNazi Regime!

It surprises me that nobody seems to be able to see and acknowledge that Mr Rudov may have several valid points. It seems that as soon as someone dare to challenge feminist dogmas, the brain immediately locks on auto-pilot, and the only response is male bashing and ridiculing.

This is clearly a left Liberal oriented site with a lot of male sycophants who don't seem to know what is going on in their world. You offer up sarcasm as a response to a man who dares criticize the matriarchy from which men here seem to take orders but offer no concrete rebuttals.

Professor Mark Perry's at UoM shows the following:

Associate’s degrees: 167 for women for every 100 for men.

Bachelor’s degrees: 142 for women for every 100 for men.

Master’s degrees: 159 for women for every 100 for men.

Professional degrees: 104 for women for every 100 for men.

Doctoral degrees: 107 for women for every 100 for men.

Degrees at all levels: 148 for women for every 100 for men.

That is just the tip of the iceberg. Equality is a two way street but if I were a man I would start taking notice of the clear swing of the pendulum in education and elsewhere.

Thank goodness for men like Rudov who will challenge even relaxed Liberal thinkers into writing sarcasm. Perhaps next you can start scratching the surface and do something of substance to see what else is out there in your matriarchal world.

You better hope you wife isn't one of the 70% who declares unilateral divorce. (Its 75% in Canada) The smirk will be on her face and she will get your children (84% chance of that), child support until they are 22 - including post secondary education expenses, maybe spousal support, the family home and 50% of everything you own. Guess what - you may have done nothing wrong but you are the goat. Rudov warned you so whose the rube now bud?

Just watch after 4-5 years if she feigns not wanting sex very often. That's the first sign she has her eye on Joe at the Office - not you. Pay attention carefully or your toast.

Marc Rudov presents counter perspectives that certainly ruffle the feathers of those who disagree. Whether one likes or dislikes his style one thing is certain, Marc presents opinions that have never been heard before in the main stream media. I believe that reporting in general has become quite stale due to such things as political correctness and a small number of very large media outlets controlling information to the public. Marc presents opposing views that have rarely been heard heretofore and in so doing provides a diversity of thought that is sorely needed. Like I said, agree or disagree, Marc presents ideas that are rarely heard elsewhere and in the process stimulates lively and passionate discussion and these are not things that those with opposing views should try and silence or shutdown. Those that do simply have no defendable ideas of their own.

Yes thank you for giving Mr. Rudov free publicity.

Mr. Rudov is absolutely correct. Most men do not know that women have a lot of power. Not all, but most women abuse this power and most men allow it. Look at all the false allegations that women make in Divorce and Criminal courts. Majority of their accusations involve abuse. So the next time you men wink or smile at a woman - beware - you may end up in court under an abuse charge. I too, like Mr. Rudov, blame Men for the situation they are in. Wise up and stand up - be a man and fight this gynocracy in your own land before going abroad!

I have read what Mr. Rudov actually says and this article unfairly characterizes what he says and takes out of context what he is really saying.

Go get 'em Marc. Rudov says unpopular things. Rudov offends feminists, some women and some men. Rudov say what millions of men won't because they are afraid of what women think.

      Rudov tells the truth.

I think what Marc is saying, and I agree with him, is that he is sick of women being in a position to say it is a "woman's nation" but still whining about being victims of an imaginary patriarchy and still sitting there with their hands out for men to pay their way.

Like I said, do get 'em Marc.

I may not agree completely with Marc on this but even if he not accurate he is still speaking for the situation that faces men more than women it may come out as angry ranting but its because there is reasons to be angry take for instance this "Shriver" report that rejoices at the progress of women in the work force when they work force for men is in critical state how can you explain this hypocrisy because more men will be unemployed more families will be in dire strait and Marc is also making people aware of the situation of boys in the education sector where no one is ready to address for the past 40 years a lot has be done to improve womens affairs while ignoring mens situation it is time to address theses issues and Marc is fighting for this he is not alone men are being more and more conscious that they need to make their voice heard it is time for the mens movement

      To Mike Murphy:
I agree with you Mike the guys who direct their attack are in a state of denial rather then feel the insecurity that comes from facing the reality. What Marc is doing takes a lot of courage that is something that is missing from a lot of men they are intimated by feminist the reality is that the state of men health and welfare is deteriorating fast and if men do not wake up soon it will get worse just remember no one like Marc who is constantly working on behalf of injustices committed to men unless he firmly believes it exist he is what is called a "Masculist" an advocate of the rights of men he is doing this so that mens rights are respected in courts and in domestic affairs he is fighting for the boys in school who are now regarded as the second sex or inferior to girls he is a voice for those majority of homeless who happen to be 90% male and the staggering number of male suicides who are now voiceless so if you rather stay indifferent as a male when all this is happening that is your choice but don't criticize men like Marc who have the courage to fight.
