How many Fox News personalities does Palin thank in Going Rogue?

November 14, 2009 4:26 pm ET by Jocelyn Fong

At the end of her forthcoming book, Going Rogue, Sarah Palin thanks, by name, the "bold and patriotic, fair and balanced media folks" who "mak[e] the idiots' heads spin":

To some media professionals whom I admire because you don't let anyone tell you to sit down and shut up, please keep making the idiots' heads spin. Thanks for not taking our Freedom of the Press for granted, you bold and patriotic, fair and balanced media folks. Keep calling it like you see it: Amanda, Andrew, Ann, Bill(s), Bob, Cal, Dennis, Dick, Eddie, Fred, Glenn, Greta, Hugh, Joey, John, Jonah, Larry, Laura, Lou, Mark, Mary, Michael, Michelle, R.A.M., Rich, Rush, S.E., Sean, Tammy, Walter ... and there are more. I join you in standing up for what is right. Remember that as your voice is heard and your spine is stiffened, the spines of others are stiffened, too. (Going Rogue, Page 413)

So who are all these people? Well, we can think of a Bill, Glenn, Greta and Sean whom Palin may have reason to thank. Oddly, Bill, Dick, Fred, Laura, Michelle, Rich, S.E., and Tammy are also names that sound familiar to those of us who like our cable news "fair and balanced."

Ewwww ... this kind of made me throw-up in my mouth a little bit!

"the spines of others are stiffened" ...

Huh? Is that a euphemism for lying and making-up facts to please your right-wing audience ??

You would think Sarah Palin was trying to name the members of the KGC "The Knights of the Golden Circle"
Although several of the Men that were mentioned have more in common with a Television actor known as Erkel.
Ms. Palin seems to be Addicted to Embarassing Herself.
Attacking Katie Couric for asking what Newspapers you read Sarah? You never miss an opportunity to show America your intellectual Depth.

        Speak truth to power.

Lying and making up facts is something that Biden did during the VP debate. But what was most interesting, is MSNBC and CNN giving him an almost complete pass on those major mistakes, much like they did with Obama. Do you think Palin knows there's not 57 States in the union? You betcha!

"Remember that as your voice is heard and your spine is stiffened..."

In Rich Lowry's case, it wasn't his spine that was stiffened.

      Andrew ?
      Ann Coulter
      Bill(s) O'Reilly

      Glenn Beck
Greta Van Zandt*, er.. Susterernenenrne or whatever
      Hugh ?
      Joey ?
      John ?
      Jonah Goldberg
      Larry (with Curly and Moe?)
      Laura Ingraham
      Lou Dobbs
      Mark ?
      Mary ?

      Michelle Malkin

        Some guesses:

        Bill Kristol
        Amanda Carpenter
        Andrew Napolitano
        Bob Barr
        ED Hill
        Fred Thompson
        Greta Van Susteren
        Mary Matalin
        John Stossel
        Mark Steyn
        Larry Elder
        Dick Morris (not Cheney)
        Rich Lowry
        Walter Williams

I'm impressed. Or I would be if Palin had actually written the book. To know this many conservative flacks on a first-name basis is clearly beyond Palin's abilities. All, or nearly all, regularly appear on Fox News Channel. But who knows them by name? Certainly not someone who draws a blank when Katie Couric asks, what magazines do you read. To which Palin might have honestly replied, "None, but I watch Fox News all the time!"

Yikes ! I can guess at a lot of the names, and it's practically a who's who of the most incompetent, dishonest and sloppy names in right wing media info-tainment.

You've got me on R.A.M. Some sort of wingnut android equivalent of H.A.L., possibly.

My guess is "Dick" is not Cheney but Morris. Rich is probably Rich Lowry from the National Review. Remember his totally juvenile worship of Palin after her nomination? 'I'm sure I'm not the only male in America who, when Palin dropped her first wink, sat up a little straighter on the couch and said, "Hey, I think she just winked at me."'.

Go back to middle school, you wuss...

Mary could be Cheney, Mark could be Levin, Fred is probably Barnes... Ah, who cares anyway? They're all schmucks!

I bet every one she mentioned is doing a shtick and Sarah is the last one to be let in on the gag. And her fans are the addle-brained troglodytes from the southern states who blame liberals for their blue-collar jobs going oversees while voting against pols who would provide them access to sustenance, education and medical care while they are down.

        My guesses:

Amanda Carpenter; Andrew Napolitano; Ann Coulter; Bill O'Reilly; Bill Kristol; Bill Bennett; Bob Novak; Cal Thomas; Dennis Miller; Dick Morris; E.D. Hill (Eddie); Fred Barnes; Glenn Beck; Greta Van Susteren; Hugh Hewitt; Joe Scarborough (Joey); John Gibson; Jonah Goldberg; Larry Elder; Laura Ingraham; Lou Dobbs; Mark Levin; Mary Matalin; Michael Savage; Michelle Malkin; Ross Mackenzie (R.A.M.); Rich Lowry; Rush Limbaugh; S.E. Cupp; Sean Hannity; Tammy Bruce; Walter E. Williams.

Of course, a lot of these are guesses: Michael could be Michael Medved or Mike Gallagher or Michael Reagan; Fred could be Fred Thompson, etc.

It's not Michael Savage - he blasted her numerous times, starting with her nomination. He called her inexperienced on many occasions.

that's quite a list! Amanda is for Amanda Carpenter formerly with Townhall.com and now with the Washington Times. She proclaimed this morning that even if palin doesn't run in 2012, she will be a king maker...(much like she was in NY). Also, as Amanda pointed out, people follow her on Facebook all 900,000 of them! From what I heard Dick Cheney was one of the first persons Palin called before she announced her resignation as Governor...Isn't Bill Kriston responsible for bringing this twit to McCain? He's the other Bill by the way

I think little Chrisy Wallace is one unhappy boy, not to mention Brit Hume, and the clowns at Fox and Friends, who were not mentioned.
The other Bill, is Kristol of course.

Heh heh. You libbies must be really woried, eh? So many harsh words always translates to panic. Yes, 2010 wil be a VERY good year and 2012 even better.

This of course asumes we still have a country in 2012 after Obama and his rat pack have destroyed it.

No president can top W when it comes to destruction on a global scale.

For the first time in the long history of the U.S., a president's actions brought the world to its' knees financially.

I can't think of many nations' leaders who would want to see W come to their country. When he went to Canada to give a speech, he wasn't there because Harper invited him. The invitation came from a business group, iirc.

It would be really nice if he were invited to Spain, accepted the invitation, and asked Cheney, Gonzales, Mukasy, Rumsfeld, Rice, and the rest of his buddies to accompany him.

Is it just me, or does it seem rather unsettling that Palin could possibly refer to anyone else as an idiot?

Notice the absences of Charlie and Katie, who apparently told Palin to sit down and shut up (except, of course, that they didn't); did they earn her wrath by asking simple questions that she couldn't answer? You betcha!
