Politico devotes entire article to Beck announcement that he will announce "big plan" for 9-12 Project

November 21, 2009 11:31 am ET by MMFA Staff

From Kenneth P. Vogel's 738-word November 20 Politico article:

Glenn Beck, the controversial Fox News television host, is planning on becoming more active in the populist conservative movement he spawned, according to sources familiar with his thinking.

At a rally Saturday at a massive retirement community in Central Florida, Beck is planning to unveil what he has billed as a "big plan" for 2010, which is expected to involve the 9.12 Project, the group he started earlier this year and named for the day after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, when he says the nation was unified.

"Coming this January, my whole approach changes on this program," he hinted cryptically on his Wednesday show. "This next year is going to be critical, and I think it's going to change and I think we are going to set it right, at least set our course right. And if that means the Democrats or the Republicans are destroyed along the way, well, good. Good."

Beck's Saturday rally, which is set for 3 p.m., is timed to coincide with the kickoff of a tour promoting his new book, "Arguing with Idiots."

I kinda of like all Glenn's followers rallying around him and his plan:

      1) Easier to keep an eye on the crazies when they're all together.
      2) By whipping each other in their self-induced frenzies, they more apt to reveal the really crazy crap they believe. This helps expose them to those who aren't paying enough attention.

My hope is that Beck and his merry band of hatemonger Tea Partiers will file to form an official political party.

Purging the crazies from the GOP will help (a) the Dems and (b) give credibility back to my friends who are Repubs.

Your friends probably still believe supply-side theory. They'll need to dump that to get any credibility.

Sometimes Glenn Beck's rhetoric borders on revolutionary treason. I know that few people are actually as crazy as Beck, but does this concern anyone else? He can't keep running around claiming that Obama wants to kill smurfs!

I haven't checked, but does anyone want to bet that old Beckie is holding his rally at The Villages - one of the remaining regular sponsors of his daily conspiracyfest?

"The voice from the telescreen paused and added in a different and much graver tone: 'You are warned to stand by for an important announcement at fifteen-thirty. Fifteen-thirty! This is news of the highest importance. Take care not to miss it. Fifteen-thirty!' The tinking music struck up again. "

The fact that Becky chose a retirement community for his 'big' announcement kind of says it all.

        And here's his big annuncement:

        http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1109/29794.html

In a letter posted on his personal website, Beck announced plans to conduct a series of conventions to teach his followers “how to be a political force in your own neighborhood and country.”Beck wrote that he has been meeting with “some of the best minds in the country that believe in limited government, maximum freedom and the values of our Founders” to develop “a 100 year plan” to defeat “the bipartisan corruption in Washington.”

What a yawn. I thought that was what the tea parties were. Becky is putting lipstick on a pig.

            Beck:
I'm going to have a series of meetings and discussions to discuss ways to get Washington to just stop all their talking and do something.

            100-year plan? Heh heh.

I recommend keeping this historic movement under the covers for the first 50 years. Don't move too fast or all could be lost.

I have a 10-year plan for the same goal. (Well, okay, I just made one up.) Keep the Grand Southeastern Party under your shoe, do the opposite of anything the media tells you, replace as many fake democrats as you can with real democrats, and pass real campaign finance reform.

Well, at least it isn't a thousand years. That would be a bit too telling, wouldn't it?

Speaking of idiots: It's not surprising that America is so radically polarized; America fought a civil war against itself in the 1860's. What is surprising is just how much media coverage obvious nut-balls like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh get. Of course, in a country where Sarah Palin can actually be considered a serious presidential candidate I guess anything is possible. It just speaks to the need to expose these puff-balls through alternative media sources. Thanks "Media
p.s. By the way, we have these wack jobs in Canada do. I disproportionate number where I live in Alberta.

Well, he's done it. He has actually posted something where he puts himself at the center of a movement. I think I will be there on August 28th. I live near enough to go. I may even purchase a copy of his book. You know, he told his followers to read "Mein Kampf" because Hitler laid it all out. I think this is once again self-relevatory, he wants us to know what he is up to. This is not good.

Looks like Beck likes community organizing after all. I knew all along these people were just jealous of the Obama’s skills. A retirement community, yeah that's the future of America, NOT.

As for Politico, it's a right wing rag so I am not surprised they peddling the propaganda.
