American Thinker: "Obama's racism against whites is upfront, in your face racism"

November 23, 2009 1:57 pm ET by Media Matters staff

From a November 23 post on the blog American Thinker:

The question was recently posed to me, "Do you think Obama is a racist?" I answered, "Obama is the best kind of racist to whites, but the worst kind of racist to blacks." My questioner was perplexed.

I began by explaining that Obama's racism against whites is upfront, in your face racism, that he discussed in his book Dreams from My Father:

I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.

I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.

Obama learned this racist ideology during his formative years from his mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, a self-admitted communist and sexual deviant, and most certainly a racist -- the kind that blacks say cannot exist.

[...]

One would think that with BET and The WB, and the all-black radio stations that you can find in any major city that there is no longer a need for Black Nationalists like Van Jones, or a Black Nationalist movement. However, no sooner was Van Jones appointed, we were treated to the racist styling of Mark Lloyd, his most famous quip being, "...white people need to relinquish their power to others." Others being "non-whites."

As for Obama's racism against blacks, you don't have to be a genius to understand it. However it is easier to understand if you are not a product of government schools. Obama's racism against blacks is much more subtle, though exponentially more insidious.

Obama actually believes he helps blacks through his policies, when in fact the outcome devastates blacks. A good example is education.

Blacks recognize almost universally that education is the key to escaping the cycle of poverty and other ills plaguing the black community.

Obama's first racist act as president was to remove the voucher program that Bush had established in DC, and a program that Democrats vote against overwhelmingly. A program that was producing proven positive results was eliminated -- and black children in DC were relegated to socialized schools in crime and drug-infested neighborhoods. Simply put, why give black children the choice to opt out of the indoctrination?

[...]

Here's the wrap:

Is Obama a racist? Of course he is! But as I say about racists, most just need to see what the other side is like. Obama only knows conservatism anecdotally, as he has never had a conservative friend. He only understands one side -- the racist radical side. This is why sanity appears to be radical to him, why patriots are persecuted, achievers neutered.

A true conservative would never befriend a person like Obama. Obama needs to be surrounded by sycophants and suck ups, or radical leaders he can admire. My hope is that Obama will actually get to know a few conservatives, black and white. Then maybe, just maybe he will understand how he is both the best and worst kind of racist.

This is one of those items where I want to pick out one line and respond to it, but the stoopid is just so overwhelming, from beginning to end, that it's impossible.

The word "Thinker" should be removed from the name of this blog. They should not, legally, be allowed to use any form of the word "think" if this is representative of the writing there.

Frank Marshall Davis was a friend of Obama's grandfather's in Hawaii. He died when Obama was 26 years old. He was hardly "Obama's mentor."

I'm so sick of these people, I mean, seriously sick of these people. If one has ever been around bi-racial children, they understand that ALL bi-racial children go through what Obama referenced. They tend to push away from the race they look least similar to in an effort to BELONG. Most of them get past it.

      These people aren't "conservatives."

This sounds a whole lot more like Dubya than Obama.

GOP = Gratuitous old projectionists. Every single little crap behavior eventually gets pinned on the opponent. If they lie, the opponent suddenly is a liar. If they ignore the will of the people, suddenly the other guys ignore the will of the people. And so on...

Why waste time (or risk getting the answer you don't want) by seeking out others' views. Ask a question and---answer it yourself!

Is American Thinker a flaming sack of right-wing sh!t? Of course it is!

In my life, I have known very few true Conservatives, most of them have been uninformed and racists or theocons. It has put me off on trying to befriend them, heck, it has put me off on carrying on a conversation with them. The President isn't a racist. I can understand why he might wish to be accepted for himself, rather than the child of a white parent. I can also understand how he might have fallen in with people who played the race card when he was in college. I can also see that he has grown beyond these childish behaviors. I do not find them offensive or threatening. As to the stopping of issuing vouchers for some children to go to Sidwell Friends and other exclusive private schools, I can see how this might be something I would want to stop. Why is it fair for Jimmy to get a free ride to Sidwell Friends, but Timmy and Tammy have to stay in their local public school. There are not enough seats at all the private academies in D.C. to take all of the D.C. public school students. It is not fair to save a small few and abandon others. I think it is better to work to improve all the schools, for the sake of all the children.

If you think the article is really wrong go to the website and read some of the comments. These people are truly scary. I was tempted to log in and make an attempt at sanity but then I thought, "Do I really want to give a website that publishes this kind of stuff my e-mail address?" The fundamentalist white hate that eminates from these kinds of web sites is truely frightening.

Kevin Jackson (the author of this post on American Thinker) is hilarious. Here is a guy who is like Glenn Beck, only black. His sole motivation is exploiting gullible white conservatives who fear black people and making tremendous money doing it. He knows there is a market for a black guy who writes things about how great white people are, how it's actually black people who are at fault for everything, and he is the perfect example because he supposedly was once Democrat but through "hard work" he realized that Republicans are right about everything. Because obviously Democrats who are black are just deadbeats who look for handouts so they vote Democrat (it has nothing to do with being anti-war, pro-choice, for climate change legislation, etc. - it's all about looking for a handout).

How does this amazing man support himself? By spamming his book everywhere he can. Look at his blog: http://theblacksphere.blogspot.com/ - every single post starts with a plea for the reader to go read his book. Wow, if only every black person in America could make money like he does? Writing stupid, untrue right-wing BS and market it to all the racists out there trying to find a black guy that can write coherent sentences that only reinforce their racist viewpoint. This guy is obviously a master at what he does judging by the book reviews on amazon.com - nothing but 4 and 5 stars.

Media Matters needs to point out that the guy who wrote this post is black. This is a typical conservative propaganda trick - using black people to say racist and untrue things about other black people. Some how their comments are deemed OK just because a black person is saying it even if 99.9% of black people would disagree with them. Kevin Jackson is man that is solely devoted to playing on the fears of white Americans and profiting from doing so by writing things that re-enforce their negative opinions about Democrats and particularly black Democrats.
