          Apaprently, the DC sniper and Anthrax does not count as terror because Obama was not president, but change who is in charge, and you have terrorism...

              Behind the action of those who committed them or behind the classification by those who wish to gain politically or religiously.

              It would be safe to say that the anthrax scare would be a terrorist act. It was playing off the fears of September 11th, caused by terrorists. One of the anthrax letters also included a note that said the following:

              THIS IS NEXT
              TAKE PENACILIN NOW
              DEATH TO AMERICA
              DEATH TO ISRAEL
              ALLAH IS GREAT
              --------------------------------------------------

                It's a fake act of terrorism for professional gain. Of course it would be disguised as an act of radical Islam, because admitting the true purpose would be slightly counterproductive.

                  I think this mini-thread is really a debate about who sent the anthrax letters - Islamic terrorists, or others whose agenda was served by an apparent attack by Islamic terrorists; either way, it was a violent act directed toward civilians, intended to inspire fear - the very definition of a terrorist act.

      OK. So what she's saying is Obama is doing better than Bush? Here it is 11/25 and no confirmed terror attacks on Obama's watch. If the Fort Hood attack is deemed a terrorist attack he'll still be doing better than Bush. Forgive me for trivializing these events. I do take them seriously. It's just hard to stay serious when the right spews such nonsense.

        I believe her too, but why was she saying what she said? That she said it on Fox News makes me suspect she will later say 911 happened on Obama's Presidency.

        Cable news (not just Fox) rarely corrects the lies people tell on air. I don't think the talent knows enough or is quick enough on their feet to do so.
