From a December 11 video posted on GlennBeck.com:

Glenn Beck promotes gold to audience while profiting from gold investment firms
Well, that's a surprise ... Beck guest pushing gold standard
Politico reports: "Right-wing talkers go for the gold"
Beck reportedly "in a bit of trouble" with Fox News over promoting gold

Oh Glenn, you and your tedious failed attempts at cutting sarcasm. No one serious is faulting you for buying what you pitch. The serious accusation is that the content of your preachy, rambling commentary on a news network appears to be available for sale to advertisers.
And Glenn, it's not just the liberal blogs that are calling you out for this. I wouldn't exactly call Little Green Footballs a haven for lefties.
This video was an excruciating four minute advertisement for Goldline.
"allegation by liberal blogs"? Politico? Yahoo news? and...
Still waiting to hear from Fox's legal department on this. It has been a week now. Is somebody "dithering"?
If Al Gore were to sarcastically state, "ExcUUUUUUSE me for investing in carbon sequestration technology! I happen to *believe in it*..." then Glenn Beck would be OK with it and shut up about climate change?
:(
How about that Carbonite (may vary) pop-up ad at the start?
The point isn't he buys a product he endorses.
The point is he's a paid spokesman for Goldline and never reveals that during the editorial portion of his tv program while telling people to buy gold.
He hasn't addressed this conflict of interest. He doesn't even realize its a conflict of interest.
Say what you will about Maddow et al. and gold advertisements on their radio programs: none of them is a paid spokesman for a company the way Beck is. None of them pushes gold during the editorial portion of their tv programs the way Beck does.
I've yet to see anybody push gold on television while being a paid spokesman for a gold company the way Beck does without revealing he's a paid spokesman.
Beck's program should be labeled the same way infomercials are.
