Behold the caption to a the opening of a long Time photo spread about the right-wing sponsored “controversy” about the First Lady's private vacation in Spain. It will really will make your head hurt watching supposedly serious, mainstream news outlets parrot Obama-hating attacks like this, and straining mightily to prop them up.

The Time caption [emphasis added]:

Michelle Obama's Spain Vacation: The First Lady, youngest daughter Sasah, and friend (and Secret Service agents) are in Marabell. But it's not exactly a low-cost trip

That's right, the hard-hitting newsmen and women at Time are here to inform you that the Obama's private vacation to Spain was definitely not a “low-cost trip.”

Good grief.

Who ever said it was? More importantly, when have members of the First Family ever taken “low-cost” trips, and why is the Beltway press so purposefully playing dumb on this topic?
