Pruden compares congressional Democrats to suicide bombers

January 19, 2010 7:26 am ET by Media Matters staff

From Pruden's January 19 Washington Times column:

You have to be a true believer in Barack Obama's radical agenda to be a Democrat in Congress, and believe with the intensity of a suicide bomber. Mr. Obama can't even promise a harem of virgins in paradise.

With disapproval of their health care "reform" running almost to 60 percent in the public-opinion polls, the Democrats set themselves up for disaster in Massachusetts. Scott Brown is smart, good-looking and knows his (Boston baked) beans, but it was his spirited and unapologetic opposition to ObamaCare that got him to the brink of a career in the U.S. Senate. He was helped by the pathetic Martha Coakley, the most inept Massachusetts candidate since Michael Dukakis tanked in the presidential campaign of '88.

If Brown wins today in Massachusetts, which it looks like he's going to do, I wonder how the folks in that state will feel when they realize they elected a teabagger?

What RADICAL agenda is this schmuck talking about? If Obama were as "radical" as everyone says he is, we'd already have some single payer health care system, gays would be allowed to serve in the military, we'd not have troops in Afghanistan OR Iraq, and so on and so forth.

It's amazing that some people actually believe, without evidence, OR proof, that somehow Obama's agenda, is RADICAL. It ain't even close folks.

Yup, isn't that guy a hoot?

        Obama has a "radical" agenda.
Dems believe with the intensity of a suicide bomber.
Virgins in paradise. (not playing the Islamic terrorist card are we)

And, of course, when talking of Scott Brown:
        He's smart,
Good looking (what's that got to do with anything)
and knows his beans (Boston variety)

I don't know the by-line that Pruden writes under but; it should be something like:

"All Conservative, all the time." or maybe
        "Honest, I'm not biased."
