Breitbart: "no knowledge" "or connection to" O'Keefe's alleged attempt to interfere with the phones* at Landrieu's office

January 26, 2010 5:42 pm ET by Karl Frisch

David Weigel from The Washington Independent has a more detailed response from Andrew Breitbart concerning news that James O'Keefe and three others were arrested by the FBI in an alleged plot to interfere with the phones* at Sen. Mary Landrieu's office:

"We have no knowledge about or connection to any alleged acts and events involving James O'Keefe at Senator Mary Landrieu's office," said Breitbart. "We only just learned about the alleged incident this afternoon. We have no information other than what has been reported publicly by the press. Accordingly, we simply are not in a position to make any further comment."

I think the FBI should check him out anyway.

And if the FBI asks, I will cite my right to not incriminate myself, and point to my lawyer.

I can't go as far as saying I feel sorry for O'Keefe. He's a scumbag, but I do think he's more of a gullible misled kid than evil.

Breitbart and Fox would have used him for as long as they could, and they'll probably continue to sugar-coat his record, but this just shows they have the same respect for him a sthey do for their audience of useful idiots.

      He went rogue, huh, Andrew?

Who could have possibly predicted that somebody who became famous for dressing up in costume as a pimp to record people without their consent would someday do something so dishonest as dress up in costume as a phone technician in order to record people without their consent?

      (Allegedly, of course.)

What a trooper. His cabin boy goes down and his response is to fold faster than Superman at the laundromat.
