Funny how that happens. I mean, all of these guys are bending over backwards because one republican won a seat in Massachusetts as if this is the new resurgence, and that this is going to be like Clinton's mid term in 1994. While, I don't think democrats should ease off at all, but instead, should take a cue from the republicans, and get their message together as one, need to hammer them during mid terms.

here is an excellent post by Nate Silver on fivethirtyeight.com about this very thing: 1.30.2010
Democrats Need a Proactive Messaging Strategy
by Nate Silver @ 7:27 PM

I think the Nat's article should be a must read for ALL Democratic congresspersons

I'm encouraged with all the State of the Union and post SOTU strategy. A big win for Obama this week and ABC even managed to get Roger Ailes to quiver his jowls dishonestly on This Week. Whew.

No, no you don't understand. The story wasn't about Democrats or independent analysts, so of course it wouldn't quote any of those. And by the same token, stories about Democrats are actually about Republicans and require the use of the word "despite" when referencing Democrats as sources, as in "despite Democratic claims ...".

It's in the guidelines. There's no sense complaining.
