Even more weather-related headlines Drudge (and Fox News) won't touch

This is becoming rather comical, but the facts remain stubborn. We're about to see what could be the first snow-less Winter Olympics, thanks to an extended warm streak in Vancouver, Canada. For the conservative media, which was atwitter over weather headlines about how cold it was earlier this month, this is very bad news.
Specifically, it appears that The Drudge Report and Fox News remain in complete denial. Of course, they don't want to cover -- let alone hype -- the story because it would uncut their beloved premise that cold weather in January means there is no climate change. So of course, news of an prolonged warm streak in Canada doesn't sit well with them, so they just play dumb.
But if Drudge or Fox News editors every get curious, here's a whole new batch of no-snow-in-Vancouver headlines they might want to check out:
Mounting a valiant battle to save the snow
Winter Olympics Buzz: Snow is scarce in Vancouver
Vancouver Olympics Just Need One Thing: Snow
Slushy weather gives new meaning to 'green' Olympics
Vancouver desperate for Olympic snow
Cypress Mountain won't get snow anytime soon
Organizers Deal With a Lack of Snow Ahead of Games
Warm weather not what Vancouver wants for Olympics
At Vancouver Olympics, straw battles sun, rain
Winter Olympics: Where's the snow??

THE LIONS STILL SUCK!
"Is Obama causing Global Warming?"
Now they'll be all over this story...
Avg Low 1.5c / 35F
Avg High 8C / 46F
Record Low - 16c / 3F
Record High 18c / 65 f
This week in Vancouver - The highest - 51F \ Lowest 35 F
I will just say, think you all will ok and do not need to see a story about crazy weather in Vancouver, cause it just not happening.
See, I thought that precipitation and snowfall and humidity were ALL parts of weather too.
And snowfall? We should just look at ONE week? And just look at the temps in the city, when the snow is being trucked to the mountains outside of the city?
Not enough snow for this time of the year in Vancouver IS unusual.
If it was usual, they wouldn't have gotten the Winter Olympics, you doofus.
And their average temps for February has nothing to do with the warmer than normal temps back in December and January, when the city recorded the highest temps in January EVER!
Vancouver has already set four daily high records as temperatures soared into double digits an unprecedented 11 times in the first 21 days. A normal month would only have 3.5 days above 10 C.
Conversely there have only been two days this month when the temperature has dipped below freezing. Normally in January a Vancouverite could expect to freeze outdoors for 12 days.
As usual, you're being dishonest, MB.
They had to wait several weeks for enough snow to hold some of the events.
To quote Wikipedia (Climate of Vancouver):
"The coldest month on record at Vancouver International Airport was January 1950, with an average low of -9.7 °C (14.5 F) and an average high of -2.9 °C (26.7 F) making for an exceptionally cold daily average of −6.3 °C (20.6 °F) under the influence of the arctic outflow. Vancouver will become the warmest city ever to host the Winter Olympics in 2010.[2]."
"There is a general misconception among visitors and residents in other parts of Canada that Vancouver does not receive any snow at all, but in fact there has never been a winter in which traceable snow has not been observed at Vancouver International Airport. Environment Canada has ranked Vancouver in 3rd place under the category of "Lowest Snowfall" among 100 major Canadian cities. Interestingly, Vancouver's coastal climate has also allowed it to be ranked in 59th place under the category of "Most huge snowfall days (25 cm or more)", placing it well above cities like Calgary and Toronto.[5]"
1932; they had two nearly snowless months preceeding the opening of the Games, and 45 degree temperatures during them. Vancouver
ranks 98th out of 100 Canadian cities in average snowfall (ahead
of nearby Duncan and Victoria) according to Environment Canada,
and is the warmest city ever to host the Winter Olympics. So maybe
some journalist should look into whether awarding the games to Vancouver was a stunt to highlight warming claims.
