Fox reportedly denies "suggestion that the network promoted the tea party movement" -- really?

February 06, 2010 8:59 pm ET by Eric Hananoki

From a February 6 Politico article:

A Fox spokesperson rejected the suggestion that the network promoted the tea party movement, and differentiated the network's news coverage from the treatment given the movement by some of the network's opinion commentators, who have actively encouraged participation in protests.

Really?

I actually think FOX may be getting a little sensitive about being called out for their obvious shilling for the right wing. Just in the past couple of weeks there was Joes Klein taking shots at Glenn Beck; Arianna Huffington calling out Roger Ailes to his face; and Jon Stewart schooling Bill O'Reilly. They KNOW how obvious their bias is. They may get away with it among their dumber than dirt, bigoted viewers but IMO they're beginning to realize what a laughinstock they are among normal, rational people.

FOX's ratings don't mean they control the minds of a majority...not by any stretch.

It would be ironic indeed if they were sanctioned by the FCC and/or the FEC for their partisan antics. The were shameless about Obama, and more recently in their coverage of the browning of Massachusetts.

Perhaps they want to play nice (until a couple of months before the next election no doubt).

Fox is simply in denial just as Palin is clearly in denial that she LOST to the black professor-in-chief

Calling it a "movement" in the first place is promoting it. It's a series of redneck tantrums combined with a challenge to see how blatantly racist you can get before you alienate everyone.

FoxNews always confuse "facts" to their Viewers just for ratings. This is NOT new. So what if "facts" catches FoxNews in numerous controversies, what's the end game for them? The answer is simple: Very high ratings for FoxNews. Uh, oh. LOL.

I'm detecting a trend from FNC -- if it's patently stupid, just blame it on the "opinion" guys.

I've always believed in "what goes around comes around". For this to bite back at FowNews isn't coming around soon enough! They are STILL getting away with lies and deception.
