National Review pretends not to notice evidence of global warming

Last Thursday, Reuters reported that January, like November and the last decade, was quite warm:
"January, according to satellite (data), was the hottest January we've ever seen," said Nicholls of Monash University's School of Geography and Environmental Science in Melbourne.
"Last November was the hottest November we've ever seen, November-January as a whole is the hottest November-January the world has seen," he said of the satellite data record since 1979.
The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) said in December that 2000-2009 was the hottest decade since records began in 1850, and that 2009 would likely be the fifth warmest year on record. WMO data show that eight out of the 10 hottest years on record have all been since 2000.
Strangely, though, this report cannot be found on National Review's "Planet Gore" blog, where they think that a snowy Moscow winter is evidence that global warming is a hoax. I'm sure National Review's obsessive global warming denialists just missed teh Reuters report.
Yeah, right.

Come on,pvd... really ? :0)
Sciencey stuff and facts = headache.
Me no want headache.
Give me more candy!!!!
Only if you don't understand the mechanism that creates snow in large quantities.
Dr.Phil Jones of the Climate Research Unit has put a different light on that contention:
-- the debate over whether the world could have been even warmer than now during the medieval period, when there is evidence of high temperatures in northern countries, was far from settled...
if the MWP was shown to be global in extent and as warm or warmer than today, then obviously the late 20th Century warmth would not be unprecedented. On the other hand, if the MWP was global, but was less warm than today, then the current warmth would be unprecedented. --

Yeah, right.
Come back, Weasel, when you're prepared to discuss the behavior of National Review.
Seriously, I'm starting to wonder if the deniers all have reading comprehension problems. None of them seem to understand abstract constructs that speculate using if/then statements.
But don't let facts get in the way.
There can be intervals during a longer period of global warming where the overall increasing temperatures aren't quite so extreme.
What part of "2000-2009 was the hottest decade since records began in 1850, and that 2009 would likely be the fifth warmest year on record," did you not understand?
If they had anything to add to the debate it would be different but; they don't.
We're not going to open all of their eyes. I just keep hoping we'll get through to a few.
Come on guys, let's talk glacial melt and its effect on deep ocean current patterns.
I feel sorry for a few of them, too. I think a some of them post here just to get some attention they're not finding elsewhere.
Ah well, I'm just going to continue to have fun when I come here. I'll offer some debate. I'll offer some snark. As far as troll herding goes I guess we'll all have to respond or not respond as we see fit.
Stick the facts, denialists.
Here's an experiment - and it does not require a model!
Get a handful of that snow.
Put it in a pan.
Put the pan on the stove.
Heat the pan. (You may need a responsible adult to supervise you on this part.)
Watch what happens. (Never mind that old saying about a watched-pot.)
What's that stuff coming out of the pan? Smoke? Nope. Moisture.
What happens to moisture eventually? Rain or snow.
See how easy that was?
Now, let's try another experiment on how good CO2 is for you.
First, go stick your head in a plastic bag.....

Now, now, you don't want to be responsible for that. They really can't be trusted to understand that you are poking at them and they might go try it.
