They are all praising him, saying he is right about paying as you go. Problem is, they have no idea that he voted against Paygo or that he voted FOR an unfunded war.

      What a bunch of idiots!

I think the better argument was that his argument about it being "not paid for" is completely disingenuous. He was totally for it until Reid took out a bunch of side clauses supporting lobbyists and special interests.

He was okay with THOSE draining the deficit, but JUST jobs in the jobs bill? Hell no. Who wants to make a bet as to WHERE Bunning will go when he retires?

Uh, no. It would be more patriotic to give the country's economy a boost rather than play ideological games from your comfy office chair.

Fox Nation asks, "Is the 'Bunning Blockade' Patriotic?"

I answer, that the "Bunning Blockacde" as they're calling it, is just one of two abuses of Senate Rules that Republican Senators are using to stop slow or weaken all the reforms that Americans want, as proved in the national elections of 2008 and 2006, elections that sidelined Republicans in the House, and would have marginalized Republicans in the Senate too, were it not for these two stupid undemocratic Senate rules, and for a Senate Democratic leadership too stupid or too scared to represent the majority of Americans who put them in leadership of the Senate, and for them to just pass these reforms (health care of financial regulatory or even emissions reduction or whatever the list is long), "cloture" and "unanimous consent" be damned!

And those are the two stupid and strange Senate Rules that are at present being abused and used by Senate Republicans to "blockade" a majority of the Senate and "blockade" a majority of the House of Representatives (whose reform legislative efforts require the concurrence of the Senate) and "blockade" the majority of the American people, who by simple majority votes swept Republicans out of the leadership of Congress and out of the administration of our federal government, and Democrats in!

You already know how the stupid "cloture" rule of the Senate is being abused and used by Senate Republicans to thwart all efforts at reform, but it is the just as stupid and way more undemocratic "unanimous consent" rule of the senate, that is being abused by Sen. Bunning and was formerly abused by Sen. Shelby, and is what's behind these mysteriously named "holds" that individual Senators supposedly use, to singlehandedly "blockade" whatever they don't like, reform or whatever.

And so NO, it isn't patriotic to use and abuse a stupid and strange Senate Rule, and effectively oppose the majority will of the American people and the majority of both the Senate and the House of Representatives, by "blockading" them (as it's being called, to cleverly spin this and other efforts at obstructing reform or anything else).

And don't think those idiot Senate Democrats are getting away with anything here either, because it's their stupid and cowardly inaction that's allowing Senate Republicans to "blockade" reform, because they have the majority of the senate and they have it's Chair (even when VP Biden sits in it), and so they can dictate their own proceedings of the Senate without obstruction or "blockade", if they'd just DAMN CLOTURE AND DAMN UNANIMOUS CONSENT, and go FULL SPEED AHEAD with reform, by way of simple majority votes backed by the Rulings of the Chair...

And backed by the American people who gave them this power, who gave them the leadership of the Senate and made VP Biden it's President!

DAMN, are Senate Democrats a spectacle of inaction and stupidity and cowardice and corruption, or what?

If by "patriotic" you mean "the duty of all conservatives to make sure a black president doesn't win re-election," then yes, the Bunning Blockade is patriotic.
