Washington Times publishes anti-health care reform op-ed by "Obama's second cousin once removed."

From Dr. Milton R. Wolf's March 11 Washington Times op-ed:
Imagine if, like physicians, politicians were personally held to the incredibly high level of scrutiny that includes civil and financial liability for any unintended consequence of their decisions. Imagine if they were forced to spend tens of thousands of dollars each year on malpractice insurance and still faced the threat of multimillion-dollar lawsuits with every single decision they made. If so, a government takeover of health care would be the furthest thing from their minds.
[...]
I have personally trained and practiced in both the government-run and free-market segments of American medicine. The difference is vast. Patients see this for themselves, and this may be why, according to a recent CNN poll, they oppose Obamacare nearly 3 to 1. I am with them. It is difficult for me to speak publicly against the president on his central issue, but too much is at stake.
I wish my cousin Barack the greatest of success in office. But I feel duty-bound to rise in opposition to Obamacare. I must take a stand for my patients, my profession and, ultimately, my country. The problems caused by government will not be solved by growing government. Now that this new era of big-government takeovers has spread to our health care system, it's not just our freedoms or our wallets that are at stake. It's our lives.
Dr. Milton R. Wolf is a radiologist in Kansas. He is Barack Obama's second cousin once removed. President Obama's great-great grandfather, Thomas Creekmore McCurry, is Dr. Wolf's great-grandfather. Dr. Wolf's mother, Anna Margaret McCurry, was five years older than Mr. Obama's mother, Stanley Ann Dunham. The two were childhood friends until the Dunhams moved from Kansas to Seattle in 1955.

I happen to be distantly related to Bush and Cheney (and by extention, Obama); hey, I've even got Winston Churchill in there somewhere. Does this mean anything at all about necessarily having similar political views to these people?
I'm sure that anyone outside the Washington Times would say No.
I demand to see his birth certificate before I give his opinion any consideration.
Now I'm knocking radiologists at all, they serve a very important function, but their personal contact with patients is close to being non-existent.
The big thing is The Defund ACORN Act was found UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!

Please document the instances of ACORN employees who have been indicted for voter registration fraud? Are they low-level contractors who, like the abusers at AbuGhraib, are bad apples who do not reflect on the larger organization?
You hint that there are hundreds but you establish a total of zero.
Sure you did.
Another racist comment from the Left which of course will be allowed to stand and even supported by fellow liberals on this Board. Wait and see.
Uh, since when is it racist to refer to people with white skin as "monkeys"?
This is what Dr. Wolf looks like.
Have a nice day, retreadinhifi.
Whooops--scratch that. The Times hasn't published any that I know of.
Whooops--scratch that. The Times hasn't published any that I know of."
Tell us NF, how many op-eds have other M.D. fmaily members who support HCR written?
You people make this way too easy for me.
I'm pretty sure, if you read the editorial, you will find that Dr. Wolf doesn't make ANY claims that being related to the president gives him any authority, not sure why so many seem to think he said that –I suppose that you might make that claim if you were. His qualification isn’t just that he’s a doc who has experience in both systems, but I’m quite certain that he wears a White Doctor smock (Prez Obama has an obsession with people in them).
You might want to take note of the argument that we hear very little of, how much better our Health Care Industry is than the rest of the world. His use of actual mortality rates, better measure than fudged self-reported Infant mort/life Expt stats. I know it hurts progressives to look at facts (I have progressive in-laws & have observed this for years) but on such a serious subject, you should feel obligated to.
Interesting, if someone expresses a opposing opinion, they MUST be paid to do it, while anyone in support is sincere. I understand the progressive model is to accuse others of what you are guilty of and I have heard of a few progressive bloggers being paid.
Oh, & "Obamacare" is an accurate name since it is his bill, his goal, his promise, he owns it, it should be named for him.
And I was right. Just check out the responses above. If a conservative had said monkeys while discussing anything BHO, MMFA and you regulars would be all over it. Just as if a conservative had said "Obama couldn't sell watermelons on the side of a road if a state trooper stopped the traffic for him"? instead of Dan Rather, you all would be calling for the resignation of whoever said it.
I know how liberals "think".
