Are right-wing bloggers really siding with the anti-cop Christian militia?

When news broke over the weekend that members of the right-wing, anti-government Christian militia group Hutaree had been arrested for allegedly hatching plans to kill cops, this was what Instapundit's Glenn Reynolds wrote:
THE TIMING APPEARS CONVENIENT
Reynolds, along with other right-wing bloggers, suggested the arrests were politically motivated. The theory seemed to be that the bust was part of a government plot to, I guess, make the Christian militia look bad, as well as conservatives in general.
So rather than immediately denouncing right-wing, anti-government extremists who may have been plotting to kill cops, Reynolds played up the partisan angle, suggesting the timing of the raid was "convenient."
And Reynolds was right! Kind of [emphasis added]:
Federal authorities say the 21-year-old was a member of a militia group known as Hutaree, or Christian warrior, that plotted to kill a police officer sometime in April and hide homemade bombs along the funeral processional route in hopes of taking out scores of others.
So yeah, the timing of the arrest was "convenient," because according to law enforcement authorities the Christian militia members were getting ready to kill cops in the coming days.

That this kind of behavior bears out the warning about far right domestic terrorism in the U.S. probably just makes the Faux Con response that much nuttier, to be honest. Don't really feel sorry for them, though. I'm a Christian, and the very last thing I'd do is take up arms in this fashion. Guys, if you really believe in God, then you have to know that the idea that He needs guns to fulfill His will is just foolish.
They simply lost their minds when a black man was elected President, I guess. The strain is more than they can bear.
I guess that was a long time ago.
For example, the Health Care "Armageddon" is not that different from what Bob Dole proposed back in the 90s. All of this bluster is about opposing Democrats, and duping the uneducated Religious Right into supporting rich old white men.
Holy S#%Theads, Batman!
We've already heard many on the right say the offensive slurs, the spitting, and the vandalism, were all the work of Progressive plants perpetrating a plot to blot the reputations of those peaceful, patriotic, Tea Partiers.
Obviously they had been watching the Hutarees closely, but either delayed or accelerated their plans to make the arrests until after their undercover operatives did their thing at theCapitol protests and the Nevada rally. Because, you know, that's how the left operates--putting together deep, complex schemes that go beyond the capacity of the most vile James Bond villain.
I've got to quit thinking along their lines. It gives me migraines.
