What lie won't Fox tell?

June 16, 2010 3:21 pm ET by Jamison Foser

Fox Nation claims “Obama Gives Back Major Strip of AZ to Mexico”:

That’s completely false. Just 100 percent made-up.

At this point, I have to assume the only reason FOX doesn’t claim Barack Obama is actually a three-headed alien from the planet Zanthoria, sent to enslave the human race, is that they don’t think their viewers would believe it. It certainly isn’t a fidelity to truth and reality that constrains them.

Oh, and check out the video in the Fox News report. Notice anything about that footage of people climbing over a fence? It’s from 2006 -- four years ago! It has, basically, nothing to do with the current story. But it's scary! Be afraid! Soon we'll all be working in Zanthorian salt mines!

The thought that FOX's dishonesty is only constrained by their viewers' gullibility is... disturbing.

So, in other words, according to FOX, telling people to stay out of certain areas because of crime is LITERALLY transferring ownership of that area to someone else?

You need a translator to read FOX Nation...and a strong stomach.

Wait -- Fox News showed video of people climbing over the border fence during GW Bush's administration?

Some poor production assistant's head is going to roll for that!

As he scolds "slick" Obama for taking time off to attend a fundraiser instead of dealing with the serious problem, the AZ Sheriff takes time off from dealing with the serious problem to go on TV and help Fox News spread a blatant lie.

      Rich.

The big lie is that the closure happened in 2006 under George Bush.

Here is the link to the closure document.

Just ignore this poster when he makes troll posts. He's not interested in having a reasonable conversation with anyone - he just wants negative attention. Don't give it to him.

Isn't that the same sheriff from McCain's "build the dang fence" commercial?
His political pandering and grandstanding are completely unethical for a law enforcement officer.

His deputies are getting shot at because the feds won't secure the border. I suppose doing everything in your power to prevent your employees from getting killed is grandstanding.

He's NOT "doing everything in his power". He's giving interviews to hack right-wing sites.

Bush and Obama are the same person on this issue. Yes I blame Bush but I also blame Obama for continuing Bush policy.

This sheriff is a liar, BH. His county is in the south central part of Arizona. It's not a border county. The ad he appeared in with McCain showed another county . . . the sheriff of that county stated his opposition to the new law and stated that they had had no increase in crime.

Pinal County, Arizona, isn't a border county. This guy was in the commercial with McCain as they walked along the fence which was actually in another county. This dude is a liar who is loving the face time he's getting.

Don't confuse some of the right-wingers posting here with any facts. Their minds are already made up, and besides, facts make them do too much thinking.

cuga...what do you mean? That portion of the park was closed in 2006. Far as I can tell, thats the only part of the park closed and it is right along the border. I will watch Hannity tonight. I am sure he will set me straight. LMFAO!!!!!!

Also, it's about 5 miles long and a mile wide. That's 5 square miles, which appears to be, at most, about 1/10 of the entire refuge. The rest of the park is completely open to the public. More here.

As a Zanthorian myself, I am personally offended by Mr. Foser's comments.

That is not salt in our mines, sir. Those are actually the tri-quantium crystals that we use as fuel for the earth-dwelling reconaissance cyborg you refer to as "Barack Obama."

by the way folks, Pinal county does not even border Mexico and yes, I do believe that's the same sheriff that was in the phoney McCain commercial. Prove me wrong wingnutz!!!!! I think that refuge area is in two counties.

Exactly. The actual sheriff of the county that the phony McCain ad portrayed called the ad a joke. They have not had an increase in crime and they don't like the new law OR the fence.

I stand corrected. The refuge is not even in Pinal county. It is in Pima county and yes, that sheriff says the border is fairly secure in his county for now.
