Huckabee’s new network talk show is a ratings flop

July 28, 2010 7:57 pm ET by Karl Frisch

As Media Matters noted earlier this month, Fox News host Mike Huckabee was given “a shot at broadcast television with a talk show on some Fox affiliates.”

Unfortunately for the former Arkansas Governor, the show doesn’t appear to be doing too well. According to a report from Broadcasting & Cable:

Former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee's new talk show, which Fox is testing for six weeks this summer on seven stations, averaged a 0.6 rating/2 share in its Monday premiere. That's down 45% from its lead-in average of 1.1/4 and down 33% from its year-ago time period average.

As Huffington Post noted based on the Broadcasting & Cable report:

In some markets, the show drew 88% fewer viewers than its lead-in. The only market where "The Huckabee Show" outperformed its lead-in was Atlanta, B&C reports.

If this fails, then Bill Cunnilingus's new show will flop too.

One of those Fox affiliates serves the Dallas/Ft. Worth area - I just happened to be in town during the show on the 27th - saw about 35 sec. of the program. I saw the Fox logo, "The Huckabee Show" graphic - then Mike started yammering and I changed the channel. I hope it took the hotel staff a long time to realize that the channel had been changed.

I wonder what level of Repub operative you are at to be assigned the duty of bribing hotel managers to have Fox News on in common areas?

Very interesting. Cannot host a successful TV show, not enough interested viewers....but he has the following to vote for him to be President of these United States. Aw Shucks...

Bet he wishes he let some more felons out of prison on the condition that they watch his show.
