Steele cancels fundraiser featuring Breitbart

We noted this week that RNC chairman Michael Steele was scheduled to appear with disgraced blogger Andrew Breitbart at an August 12-14 fundraiser in Beverly Hills. Politico reports today that the event has been "postponed":
The RNC has postponed a fundraiser next month in California that was to feature party chairman Michael Steele alongside Andrew Breitbart.
A finance official with the party emailed donors Friday night to alert them of "a scheduling change" regarding what was billed as the "RNC Election Countdown" and was to take place in Los Angeles between August 12-14. The email, obtained by POLITICO, said it would be rescheduled for September.
Asked if the event featuring the controversial Breitbart would ever actually take place, RNC spokesman Doug Heye would only say: "We are working on scheduling and we fully plan to have another event based on existing trips to California."

And, should that go through with a nice fat penalty and a thorough exposition of how he works, the stink of truth should follow him for the rest of his natural life.
It will take the right wingers sometime to redeem him, but they will. Fox and the rest of the right wing will turn this into an attack on them.
Then Breitbart will appear with Michael Steele. How Mr. Steele can, in good conscience, appear with this slime is beyond me. But hey, anything for a buck.
