Time strains to push Obama vacation story

Behold the caption to a the opening of a long Time photo spread about the right-wing sponsored "controversy" about the First Lady's private vacation in Spain. It will really will make your head hurt watching supposedly serious, mainstream news outlets parrot Obama-hating attacks like this, and straining mightily to prop them up.
The Time caption [emphasis added]:
Michelle Obama's Spain Vacation: The First Lady, youngest daughter Sasah, and friend (and Secret Service agents) are in Marabell. But it's not exactly a low-cost trip
That's right, the hard-hitting newsmen and women at Time are here to inform you that the Obama's private vacation to Spain was definitely not a "low-cost trip."
Good grief.
Who ever said it was? More importantly, when have members of the First Family ever taken "low-cost" trips, and why is the Beltway press so purposefully playing dumb on this topic?

But that's the price we pay for living in the world we're in. There have been crazies in this world willing to harm the President and/or his family for many decades, and it'd be unfair to make them prisoners in the White House, and so when they take a trip, they travel via secure transportation and they get the necessary Secret Service protection.
Last week, Limbaugh suggested that the new Chevy Volt wouldn't be a car that the Secret Service would allow the President to ride in, as though that meant something about how the average Joe should feel about the Volt!
The President and his family get treated differently than the average Joe, and for good reason!
Hail the MSM!
Gee, weren't Abe and Mary out for a double date to take in a play?
