you can tell how much someone absolutely LOVES his country by how fervently he hopes for its failure. Witness rush's avowed desire to "see Obama fail" and the above mentioned arsehat's bated breath anticipation of something horrible happening.

      "Almost giddy"! jesus!

Well the chances of a shut down hurting anyone he has concern for, or thinks of as important are pretty microscopic. If he's feeling expansive this is still a population of less than one percent of the population.

The subject of fantasy worlds has come up today. His has a fantasy hermetric seal.

I think the reality of the unwashed "others" climbing over the fences of their gated communities, and getting a " Sorry, we're closed"recording when they call the police, might break that seal.

What a foul excrescence. Maybe it is appropriate to pass legislation that provides that in the event of legislators blocking supply they, and their staff, should have their wages and other entitlements removed until supply is passed. With no catch-up on resumption of supply.

After all, if ordinary wage and salary workers go on strike they get their wages docked. Why shouldn't the same apply to legislators and their staff when they effectively do the same? Considering the number of hardworking people who would be laid off as a result of what would, in effect, be industrial action by people who would suffer no economic hardship it's only fair.

Right, my going to work or being locked out because of a shutdown is so great for me. The Federal Government isn't just big office buildings, it's the bread and butter on a lot of people's tables, it might be your next door neighbor. It might even be you. The Federal Government is made up of people, we have names and faces. We are citizens, too.

Well, when you have somone like Morris or Erickson with large fat paychecks from the likes of CNN & Fox News, of course THEY don't care if there is no government providing basic services for the rest of us.

      Hey Erickson,

      F**K YOU!

Why do I say this? Well, mostly because if the Gov gets shut down, that puts me, and a lot of people I know out of work until it gets back up and running again, and I don't get paid.

It's called messing with someone's life, just because you think it would be cool, and idiotic.

You guys really have no idea what happens when you shutdown the Gov do you? Didn't work out too well for you jokers last time, and if it does come to pass again, won't work so well this time either.

As I've said before, Erickson is very bad business. Everything he does is to benefit himself and his cronies. He created just as toxic an atmosphere here in Macon, Ga as he's now creating at the national and international levels. I'm glad he's not running in November to keep his seat on the city council.
