God, but they are pathetic. This constant pawing at ANYthing to smear this community center is just sad. Fox News and all associated with the Corp: you really do suck at life

I am devastatingly offended that there is a Scottrade advertisement not more than 2 inches away from a hallowed 9/11 human remains map.

Have we no decency in this country?

Then according to their warped logic, all the buildings that had remains on them are sacred ground and should be abandoned for business purposes? I am sorry all those people died, I understand their relatives are grieving and traumatized, but the world can't and shouldn't stop because of this attack. A stiff upper lip, a squared shoulder and a clear eye while carrying on with your life is a greater rebuke of these terrorists than this ghoulish arguing.

This logic kind of ignores the fact that there are Native American burial grounds under many of those buildings . . .

I know we now stop for Native American and slave burial grounds and I am glad of it, but it didn't stop us from developing Manhattan Island in the past. I live on property that was once a farm belonging to George Washington. The docent who gave the Slave tour of Mount Vernon told me that women and child slaves used to tend this land. For all I know, my home sits over a slave burial ground. I am quite sure they didn't care about these things when the house was built 40 years ago. When faced with such disasters, respectfully remove the remains, return them to their families for proper rest, and then go on. In the case of historic remains, study them (even if it means a delay in developing a project) and move them to a safe and hallowed place (tribal burial, a current cemetary).

Obviously we need a surveyor to figure out what the exact boundaries of the Sacred Ground are, and then a convention of right-wing activists to determine what activities will be permitted within the Sacred Ground, thus identified.

I'm pretty sure that I recall a strip joint down on Washington Street within three or four blocks of the Trade Center. Does that demean the memories of the the 9/11 victims?

St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church is about the same distance as Park51, as is the Amish Market. Anybody complaining about these sites being on hallowed ground?

This is so bogus, it's amazing that they'd try to resurrect this "offense".

The prayer room that's used by Muslims once every work day is ON THE SPOT where the plane hit the Pentagon! That means that remains of Pentagon employees AND people on the plane were in that spot.

And so, if they don't protest outside the Pentagon every week over the Muslims (and other religions too) praying on hallowed ground, they're hypocrites!

Does Fox know that in every breath, every one of their anchors takes in untold trillions of atoms once breathed by the 9/11 terrorists? And that the dust from the towers is mingled with every hot dog they buy from a street vendor whose mustard brush is terminally contaminated by water molecules once urinated by Hitler?

I don't understand why the map stops at 348 ft. away. Pam Geller told Fox a month ago that the reason Park51 is "hallowed" is that an engine from one of the planes hit the roof of the building and caused maiming and death to the people inside. Don't they believe her grisly analysis? Shouldn't they run with her story if they really want to twist people's emotions even tighter?

You want an example of something offensive to the memory of 9/11?

I offer these graphs, and their little red splatter dots where dead people landed. Building an Islamic YMCA is not a huge deal. Politicizing these deaths in this way, an with such ham-fisted brutality.... That's offensive.
