A Note To My Readers

The Strupp Blog as you have known it is soon to disappear.

But I will not.

My investigative work and reporting will appear elsewhere on the website, principally on Media Matters main blog.

I am looking forward to focusing full-time on producing original stories about the news media.

      Thanks for the heads-up, Joe. I checked in to MMfA this evening and was concerned when your by-line wasn't on the main page - I only found this post by using the search.

      I've taken a shot or two at you in the past over what I felt was lazy reporting with no analysis. (No, I know I couldn't do better.) So I hope this move will allow you to do meatier articles, in-depth, with the keen insight I know you have.

      Are you being given free-reign on the stories that you pursue? If so, I'm really interested in seeing what you think 'matters' in the 'media.'

      I think this is a good move for Strupp's reporting and for MMfA. Folding his articles into the main blog will garner more attention than as a separate link on the home page. While I review the main blog daily, I often miss Joe's articles for days at a time, as I neglect to check his byline link routinely. Sorry Joe---my bad. But hey, now I will see your stories right away---and that's what matters, innit?
