Once again, Glenn Beck struggles to draw a big crowd

October 27, 2010 11:16 am ET by Eric Boehlert

Beck appeared at a rally in Rapid City, S.D. yesterday in connection with his book release tour. Beck spoke at the local civic center which holds about 10,000 people. When Beck spoke, 3/4 of the arena was empty.

A view from the Rapid City Journal

Ah. This is where one can be racist and express age discrimination!

I'm glad I found you! Do you realize how few places exist out there where you can show open contempt towards a whole race people and age group comfortably?

I was starting to think I was the only one that suffers from this level of self loathing!

Good to be home. Can I call you my FAMILY?

But, but... this was taken as the arena was still filling up. Yeah, that's it. Everyone sat down and quietly stared at the stage while they were waiting. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Would it really surprise you if they did do that sit quietly and stare like a serial killer thing?

It must have been pre-rally and Becky put a picture of "Spooky Dude" George Soros up there with subliminal messages playing in the intro music so they would target him....oh wait that's a conspiracy theory and unlike Becky and the wingnut teabaggers we are above that.

What the article fails to disclose is that a good many Beck-olytes showed up, disguised as empty seats.

Of the people who showed up, how many paid the admission price? It would seem that only five or six actually paid and for all of the others, A Koch Corporation picked-up the tab, which included transportation, discount hotel rooms, buffet and an open bar.

This should be big news to those who were howling about how President Obama failed to sell out some fund raiser at which he appeared recently.

If you look at photos from a reputable site, then you can get the truth of the matter. This photo is deceiving. There were plenty of people at the event, and if you go to this link you will see a different story than the one Media Matters Misrepresents. http://www.dakotavoice.com/2010/10/glenn-beck-rocked-rapid-city/

Can you believe that, only 2,500 showed up for a book tour event!
What will Beck think of next...Quoting from the writings and political beliefs of Pres. Obama's inner circle?
WOW - Smearing people with their own words.
