Failing Upward: Breitbart To Be Featured in ABC's 2010 Election Coverage

Media Matters has confirmed that noted propagandist Andrew Breitbart will provide analysis for ABC News during their election night coverage.
After Breitbart's BigJournalism.com website reported that Breitbart would "be bringing analysis live from Arizona" for ABC, Media Matters confirmed his participation in a town hall meeting anchored by ABC's David Muir and Facebook's Randi Zuckerberg that will be featured in the network's coverage.
Asked about Breitbart's history of unethical behavior and misinformation, ABC News' David Ford told Media Matters: "He will be one of many voices on our air, including Bill Adair of Politifact. If Andrew Breitbart says something that is incorrect, we have other voices to call him on it."
Media figures and outlets from across the board rejected Breitbart's race-baiting lies after he smeared former USDA official Shirley Sherrod as a "racist," using as "proof" a heavily edited video of comments she made during a March NAACP event that he posted on his site BigGovernment.com.
ABC's Terry Moran subsequently reported that "Breitbart had released only a clip of her speech, which distorted her real meaning, that she was wrong and had learned from her error," while Donna Brazile said that Breitbart "should apologize" to Sherrod. Both Brazile and Moran will also be featured during ABC's election night coverage.
Breitbart has repeatedly appeared on ABC to explain his false smears. In a July appearance on Good Morning Ameria, George Stephanopoulos called out Breitbart for pushing claims about Sherrod that are "clearly not true." During Breitbart's joint interview with James O'Keefe on the June 1 edition of Good Morning America, Stephanopoulos revealed a clip that had been excluded from an O'Keefe video posted on Breitbart's website of New Jersey census supervisors that undermined O'Keefe's contention.

Breitbart is a professional message engineer. He deliberately framed an untrue narrative around Shirley Sherrod's story of unity, claiming it was racist.
This is a sad, sad turn of events.

If ABC News parades that immoral, dishonest clown, Breitbart on Election Day, pretending he's anything other than a Machiavellian partisan low-life, who has no problem with ruining peoples' lives under false pretenses, with innuendo and fabrications, just because their politics may differ from his bizarre vision of what our great country must become, I will not only NEVER watch ABC content again, I will actively encourage my friends to do the same, and I will also ask bars to switch away.
When MM says Breitbart has 'failed' upwards, they are really saying he's succeeded beyond anyone's wildest hope. He not only succeeds in injecting a narrative into the mainstream, now he is the mainstream.
Are MM representatives going to be on an election coverage? Well, no. So who is the failure here? The failure is magnified by the fact that Breitbart operates on a shoe string, while Media Matters is awash with money. MM is the D.C. public school system of partisan media!
The irony here is inviting Breitbart is practically a no-brainer since he's a pivotal figure in the Tea Party, understands it intimately, and the Tea Party has been a huge factor in this election cycle.
I was over at a friend's house--a veteran Rush Limbaugh listener, and on his end table was 'Rules for Radicals'. Try to understand this for a moment. Conservatives got their asses kicked in 2006 and 2008. They lost everything. Yet instead of going on a long drunk, they started watching game footage, dissecting the strategy, tactics and infrastructure the left used to beat them. So now, they add to the dominance of talk radio and Fox News, the fund-raising, organizing and networking the left has been using so well.
Maybe you should stop calling these people idiots.

racists in our society are shrinking in numbers (at least i hope) and will pay any price to get to see one of theirs on media outlets and that's what these corporate media outlets are capitalizing on
